Once a month I crave fried oysters and do the Fish Market in the bar. It is one of the few restaurants open between lunch and dinner in South Palo Alto so hitting here at 2 or 3 in the afternoon for a late lunch...More

Often I have met friends here for the early bird specials and have been continuously pleased with the food & service. Now that I live out of town, I still somehow make it make back there to have the salmon that they deliciously prepare.

I ate many times here, they offer a wide range of seafood, it is amazing. The food was always fresh and delicious, the restaurant is pretty cozy and nice. I really recommend to visit it at least once while you are in Palo Alto.

Large seafood menu. Great service and good food. The only choice of breading for the fried fish is panko, which isn't my personal favorite. Seems to be a favorite of the locals.

Being from the high desert, we always look for a great and reasonably priced seafood restaurant. We were delighted to see The FishMarket, just down the street from our hotel. We arrived somewhat close to closing time. Our server was knowledgeable and very accommodating. The...More

What a lovely entrance to The Fish Market! The walkway is festooned with gorgeous blooming dahlias, snapdragons, and roses. The outside eating area is bordered by the noisy Camino Real making it not an auspicious patio for talkng. Our business meeting was comfortably inside where...More

Staying at the hotel next door, so we walked over to try the Fish Market. So glad we did. Absolutely delicious. Reasonably priced for the area and quality of food. We ate at the bar. Good service, good wine choices. Hard to decide what to...More

Came here after a movie on Friday night at 7:30. Had maybe a 10 minute wait. My husband had clam chowder that he loves and oysters. I had my favorite called "ducketts bucket". A large pot of steamed clams and mussels in garlic butter wine....More

Our first restaurant has been a Palo Alto institution since its doors opened in 1976. With the brand new addition of an oyster bar, cocktail bar and lounge area, there are now even more ways to experience this unique restaurant. The expansive retail market remains a popular stop for local residents seeking to take home the finest in fresh fish.
