A very decent lunch of crab cocktail and a generous portion of fresh scallops. Lovely staff - entertained by the old photos of fishermen and women displaying their prize catches !

I'm stunned this is the #3 restaurant in Palo Alto. The rating says it all--it was average. Completely and totally average. They do have a wide variety of fresh fish, but that's their whole business plan. They should have a wide variety of fresh fish....More

Food was good. Service was pretty good too and the location worked really well for our event at the University. Although there were several mistakes with the bill they corrected all of them and comped our espresso for the trouble.

Very nice place that actually prints up their menus each day in the back, so it shows what is fresh and what the specials are! Good Mahi Mahi-Mahi and martinis!

This restaurant is very popular with locals, it is not fancy or expensive, but the food is worth trying.

Fish n chips dish was ok, but didn't meet my value for money expectations. Service was nice. Atmosphere: nice decoration, but loud, no background music. Few draft beers from California. Prices are not cheap.

Of all of there locations this one is my favorite. Feels like I am eating with family. The staff is wonderful, the food delicious. I love the swordfish! I have been here with friends and for casual business meals (lunch and dinner). Never disappointed always...More

Going here for 10+ years. Never had a bad experience. Food is fresh, and always well prepared. Good for small groups ( 5-8 people.) Also good place to bring out-of-town guests.

Usually I rate consistency of taste to be very important in a restaurant. But in the case of The Fish Market, there's a bit too much consistency, because regardless of what fish I order, it tastes consistently like paprika. Well, I'm exaggerating a little. The...More

Our first restaurant has been a Palo Alto institution since its doors opened in 1976. With the brand new addition of an oyster bar, cocktail bar and lounge area, there are now even more ways to experience this unique restaurant. The expansive retail market remains a popular stop for local residents seeking to take home the finest in fresh fish.
