I had been hearing about how wonderful this restaurant is. I am in the San Jose area for business and decided to try it out. Since it was only me, it was suggested I sit at the bar which is full service. Had a table by myself, so that was good. I ordered the smoked salmon, which was excellent and... More

Friends from out of state had eaten calamari here long ago and wanted to eat it again. I had mac n' cheese and spinach salad. Mac & cheese was pretty good, but the salad I could have passed up. Took it home and no one wanted it. Others all had fish of one type or another and were happy. The... More

My wife and I love to come here, especially for lunch. Their New England clam chowder is consistently great and some very tasty sour dough bread with accompanying butter makes a super lunch. The always have a large variety of fresh fish available for lunch and dinner meals and for take home. We prefer to sit in the side room,... More

I met my son for lunch and we both ordered scallops. Mine were skewered and broiled and served with two sides, basil tomatoes and mixed vegetables. My son had the scallops fried in a fish and chips type preparation. Both were excellent. Our server was very attentive bringing bread and refilling waters. They have a daily menu on a sheet... More

Even though the menu seemed limited there was plenty packed in there! Good food, good place. Wasn't overly loud. Service staff is attentive and quick.

Ate here with a business group in April 2017. Very wide selection of seafood, and our group ordered a number of different of dishes, all of which were excellent. Large open seating area can get a little loud for conversations.

We eat here frequently, and the food is ALWAYS excellent. Service is good, and the atmosphere is casual. They have recently started taking reservations.

A large restaurant with mediocre food. The best thing about this place is the oyster bar. Lots of families with young kids and the noise level is high.

Their selection of dishes is tremendous. No other eatery has such a range of fish plus it's own fish takeout shop. Salads like the warm spinach salads you can order with other additional toppings like smoked salmon or big sea of Cortez prawns. Fish specials of the day are super grilled or blackened to your liking. Favorite is the New... More

Description
Our first restaurant has been a Palo Alto institution since its doors opened in 1976. With the brand new addition of an oyster bar, cocktail bar and lounge area, there are now even more ways to experience this unique restaurant. The expansive retail market remains a popular stop for local residents seeking to take home the finest in fresh fish.
