I discovered the Congregation Ale House a few years back visiting my parents in Pasadena. Since then it has become a must do activity whenever I am in town. They have an excellent selection of beers, some of their own creation, others high-end offerings from other brewers. The atmosphere is interesting, pretty dark and the wood fixtures give it a... This is a fun place to go. Very casual. Shared tables. The beer list changes with every list. Most beers are on tap. Good artisan pizzas and other food too.

Have been here a couple times for happy hour with co-workers. Nice place, decent parking and fun atmosphere. Kinda of loud so not a place for an intimate convo. Good happy hour specials and yummy bites.

This is a recent find for us. It has a mid sized inside seating area, mostly with long communal tables and a few tables on the porch. We don't drink alcohol, we were just there for lunch and liked it enough to go back a week later. Their sandwiches are reasonably priced, especially with the lunch special . All are... More

Every time I'm in pasadena I come in here for at least a few beers (or more) and sometimes dinner. The reason for 4 rather than 5 stars is just that the menu is a bit limited, but everything I've tried is good. The hot pretzel appy is very good, as are all of the pizzas. Bartenders and servers have... More

Bar / pub type place, with outside patio. We enjoyed sitting outside. Several leashed dogs with their owners shared the patio with us. All 3 of us ordered Classic hamburgers, shared one order of hand-cut fries, one order of sweet potato fries, with pesto ranch dipping sauce and rosemary garlic mayo. Personally, the sweet potato fries were too sweet for... More

Very nice place, it has some really wide selection of craft beer and finger food. Is amazing! I would recommend for friends and families. They also have trivia nights sometimes.

Great selection of beers. The food's not bad for a pub. I like the pizza there. It has a nice little patio area.

Congregation Ale house has a good selection of draft, good food, and a cute theme. Service is good and the atmosphere works. It is close to the train (del Mar Station) as parking can be a challenge.
