I have been here for drinks but not for dinner. We started with lovely cocktails. Then, on to brussel sprouts as an appetizer. Delicious. My sister had the pot pie, which was OUT OF THIS WORLD. I had the cioppino, not as good. More like shellfish with spaghetti sauce thrown on it, which is NOT cioppino. The cornbread was also... More

The wait staff was great. Food delicious. No complaints at all-I would go back again. I had the salmon and it was perfectly prepared.

Good reviews brought me there 1st time....very disappointing. Gave them a 2nd chance, but I was right the 1st time. High prices for fancy meatloaf?. Fool me once, shame on Smitty's...fool me twice, shame on me! Would never return.

We had a rehearsal dinner at Smitty's and overall was pleased. A classy place. Server: he was excellent - an older gentlemen who was knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. Food: bean dip for the table (good), Filet Mignon (it was good, but I honestly expected a liiiittle better), mash potatoes (very good), asparagus (good), bread crumb pudding (good, but quite sweet).

Smittys food is American Coffee Shop faire. Its Like the Salt Shaker just over the border in South Pasadena, except the actual food at the Salt Shaker is better, but that's not the point. Smitty's has overpriced their standard faire and hire waitstaff with the snooty flaire so that some people can have the illusion its where "old Pasadena "... More

You can't go wrong at Smitty's. Tho we four didn't have a reserve the gracious hostess offered us a table on the front deck. The lobster bisque was very tasty lobsterwise despite the non-appearance of any crustacean meat. The Cobb salad was finely chopped as requested and the fried chicken salad came with a classic green goddess dressing. Tender chicken... More

Prime rib and baby back ribs were both quite good, but the star of the show were the humongous shrimp in the appetizer. Perfectly cooked and almost an entrée by themselves.

One of my favorites is the short ribs, their steaks are also outstanding. My wife likes the seafood specials and we both like the wedge salad which we always asked to be chopped before being served. A very vibrant bar scene which can get a little Lou's at times but tolerable. Valet parking is welcomed since street parking is somewhat... More

A local business client pointed us to this place. We liked it so much we went back the second night to try things on the menu that we did not get a chance to eat the first night. Both visits were a late dinner and some drinks at the bar.

New Year's eve dinner. Festive ambiance, but the size of the portions for the primer rib dinner were disappointing. Maybe 3/4 cup of creamed spinach, and perhaps a little more of mashed potato. The amount of primer rib, which by the way was quite good, was noticeably small. Granted it was a holiday evening, but our waiter gave the impression... More
