With so many fantastic options in this area, I recommend you skip this property. Person pouring our tasting was more interested in making jokes about his 42-yr wedding anniversary than he was in telling us about the wine, grapes or property. He simply told us...the type and vintage, poured, told a joke and walked away. Lunch was OK - bread for our turkey sandwich was soggy. Highlight: truffle fries!More

This was my friend’s first time wine tasting and Philly, our server, made sure it was amazing! He bent over backwards to accommodate our food requests and ensured we were delighted with our meals and the wine, which were delicious. We will make sure to...return and request Philly again.More

Visiting a winery during covid can go one of 2 ways. Either, the winery steps up and makes every effort to give the guest a great experience despite the limitations or they really drop the ball in service and quality and still expect the same...compensation for their lack. of effort. Cass falls into this category. Their menu is VERY reduced. Down to maybe 1/4 of the usual and when we were seated, we were told we didn't have an "updated " menu and that they didn't even have a few of the things on their smaller menu. They charge $4 (possibly $6, ) for a small baguette with olive oil. We ordered this and some olives immediately upon being seated as someone in our party needed to take some medicine. We waited 1 hour and 9 min - I KID YOU NOT - for this baguette. The waiter came over to apologize and to say the bread would be complimentary that was around the 30 min mark and he was a no show the rest of the time. As we were getting up to leave, after the hour and 9 minutes, the bread arrived. No olives ever did make their way out. They were not crowded when we were seated, maybe 3/4 of the tables were seated and as the hour ticked by it dwindled to less than 1/2 so it was not an issue of the kitchen being overwhelmed. We would have left sooner, but Cass is about 15 min from town and most of the other wineries so we kept thinking it would be shorter to wait for the bread. I think we were wrong. We should have cut our losses and left to another restaurant sooner. Additionally, they've moved their eating area. Where we were seated was not very picturesque and the heater by our table was out of propane and was not replaced after asking the waiter twice. It was replaced after I got up and found someone to do it. The eating area was very windy and now that the weather is getting cooler, it was not pleasant. We did leave after that and had a very very very late lunch at 3:30 at Fish Gaucho in town which was pricey but delicious. We also visited Daou during covid and they while they also had a reduced food option, their service and guest experience was still lovely. If you are looking for good food and wine in a pretty setting - Check some of the other wineries out. Cass- you need to step it up. It's not the customer's privilege to patronize your business but the other way around.More

We went to Cass for an amazing horseback riding experience & had booked lunch for the remainder of our party. It was ok, honestly. We got double charged for our tastings, but honestly it was our fault for not paying better attention. Our server was...nice, nothing too memorable from the place. None of us really cared for our food.More

We had lunch scheduled at Niner and on the drive over we were informed that the needed to close that day. I made reservations here instead and we were pleasantly surprised. Lunch was delicious with the food on the same quality as Niner and the...wines were all very well crafted. Great place!More

Glad this wasn’t my first wine tasting. Great food but wine tasting was very disappointing. Especially since this was my aunt’s first wine tour. Server didn’t explain anything about the wines we were drinking and the wines were tasty wish they had cared enough about...them to explain them- maybe we just got a bad server had to prompt with questions for information. In fact they poured us something not on the tasting menu and didn’t tell us and then didn’t even tell the name of the 1st tasting bottle. Never asked if we want a glass or bottle. Suggestion: have a food server and a different wine server. Great setting for lunch.More

A beautiful evening in a gorgeous setting. An Italian inspired dinner was part of the ongoing Wednesdays Around the World Series. The winery and it’s newly opened Geneseo Inn are lovely. The owner did a wonderful job of introducing and describing the various wines. The...chosen wines were perfectly paired and far exceeded expectations. The meal was a bit less exciting but the overall experience was nice. There were some service glitches and several courses were mediocre at best.More

Friendly staff and decent food. The patio is very pleasant, and the wines were good. The chicken salad is a good lunch option.

We did some wine tasting at Cass Winery; fees are waived if you purchase a bottle of wine. While waiting for a table, we had fun at the photo booth area...we sat in a chair made from barrels and there were a number of photo...props available, such as cigars, crowns, and signs saying "Drinks well with others", "Aged to perfection", and "Sip happens". We had a delicious lunch on the patio, and the service was great!More

We did a horseback riding package through the Allegretto hotel. The package is a must-try for everyone. As part of the package, we received vouchers for the gelato or wine tasting at the Cass Winery. We highly recommend that you choose the wine tasting option...because the gelato, while ample in portion, was lacking in quality. Gelato is typically smooth and creamy and the gelato served at the Cass winery was icy and overtly sweet. Furthermore, rather than placing our gelato into a bag for take out, the server stacked them into our hands and piled on some plastic spoons and send us on our way. We were not allowed to take them ourselves out of the freezer case, so when we chose our flavors, we were asked to stand in a corner until a server was available to take it out of the freezer case and simply hand it to us along with a plastic spoon and no bag. It was awkward for the 4 of use in my family to stand in the middle of a busy dining area. Due to the distancing guidelines, we would have been in the way or too close to others anywhere else we stood. We chose the gelato option because on the day of our visit, the wait for wine tasting was 1.5 hours. This was expected, as the distancing guidelines cannot be helped.More

I had no trouble getting a table for a wine tasting a lunch! I just walked in and sat right down. There were 2 of us, and I went in May.

There is good parking but trucks and trailers may be too large to fit in the space I saw. I do recommend reservations
