We stayed in Paso Robles one rainy night.on our way to San Francisco. We were so fortunate to discover this gem of a restaurant. From the moment we stepped inside and were given a warm welcome by the hostess/owner to our last bite of scrumptious dessert and farewell from the owner/chef--husband and wife owners-we were thrilled. The food was outstanding.... More

My wife and I had dinner on a Friday night. We were greeted at the door by the owner, Christina. She was very nice and welcomed us like we were regulars although this was our first visit to the restaurant. We were promptly seated and were given a glass of Prosecco and a seafood amuse-bouche...Nice! We had ordered crab cakes... More

Thank you Gary for your nice review. I told the chef about the bisque being a bit salty and he is going to make sure it is toned down in that area..hope you and your wife come dine with us again next time you are on the central coast More

We went early after exploring the area for the day. We were greeted by the vivacious owner with a glass of sparkling wine and an ahi abuse bouche. We both decided on the locally caught fresh fish (black cod) which was grilled to perfection. Dinner for 2 (tax, tip) was $93 sans wine. We would definitely return if in the... More

Very welcoming and home-like (in a good way) small family run French restaurant right in the heart of downtown. We were welcomed with a comp glass of champagne and a delicious onion tart. The special salad was perfection in its freshness and dressing. We enjoyed Coq au Vin and a salmon dish. Both were very well prepared with many layers... More

We began by splitting a beet terrine. Thin slices of red and gold beets separated by thin layers of goat cheese. Looked great and tasted better. Nice wine list from nearby and from France. Reasonably priced. My black cod and my wife's scallops were both cooked perfectly. And the subtle, complex seasoning was special. Just Paso Terra alone justifies a... More

We ate here on a Friday night. It was busy but the chef actually stopped by our table which was nice. I had scallops which were cooked perfectly. Service was friendly and prompt. Great wine selection.

We had a delicious dinner and enjoyed the restaurant very much. It is small inside so you may end up visiting with your neighbors, which we did and it only added to the ambiance of the meal. This French restaurant is known for it's fish but I had the braised short ribs and they were fabulous. Will definitely return.

A wonderful evening in a small, intimate setting. On arrival, we were greeted with a delicious amuse bouche, and a glass of champagne. The owner (and wife of the chef) was very attentive and took our order. As an appetizer, we had the salad with pear poached in wine, and it was lovely, a good balance of sweet and salty,... More

At hotel recommendation, had New Year's dinner there. Went by the night before to get an overview of the restaurant. Cristina was very welcoming and remembered me the next night. Multi course dinner with paired wines was quite nice. Initially a little surprised at French wine pairings in heart of California wine region. However, all pairings were well done. Will... More

Thank you Brad for your kind review. Yes it may seem interesting that we went all French, including the wines for that dinner whille being in CA wine country. We decided to go this way only because we like to theme our NYE dinners. We do many Central Coast wine paired dinners throughout the year and we hope that you... More
