My husband first took me to the Lazy H several years ago, and it quickly became my favorite restaurant. Originally built in the 20s and made into a country club in the 50s, it retains vintage charm while being laid back and comfortable, and the food is delicious - we've never had a bad meal there, and most items are... Close to gambling casinos and Mount Palomar It has the ambience of a small beautiful natural compound inn with extremely nice rooms great pool to use in the summer. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and it has great food. The bar is very unique in that it has... More

Beautiful setting. Hummingbirds galore feasting at feeders hanging from the view windows to the gardens. Meal was good with a very good pino grigio. Service prompt and friendly. Outside area comprised of gardens, a swimming pool and several rooms. Old, character trees - arms outstretched. Peaceful and if you want loud Harrah's Casino is about 5 minutes away. Review prices... The restaurant is in an older building that is rather quaint and it is set on a beautifu, well groomed property. Views from the restaurant windows are very nice. It is a very quiet, clean environment. This was our first trip here on the recommendation of a friend who accompanied us. The service was prompt, attentive and very pleasant. Each... More

Food was delicious, service was fast, and the food was hot when it arrived at the table. We skipped dessert, we were too full from dinner. Next time we'll save room!

Very nice experience near Pauma Valley. The ranch is surrounded by hundreds of orange trees and you can smell the trees when sitting in front of your room in the evening. Marvellous sensation, serenity, calm and beauty. Friendly atmosphere, nice cocktail lounge, good restaurant. A must.

Description
Built in the 1920's, this ranch style restaurant and motel is located along Highway 76 in the back county of San Diego. Formerly a sleepy stretch of road, Highway 76 now connects 4 major casino resorts: Valley View, Harrah's Rincon, Casino Pauma, and Pala. Most visitors drive right by the Lazy H, those who do stop in are treated to a step back in time. The dining room is right out of the 50s, the menu is varied and wholesome. Weekends are busiest, when locals come out to dine.
