Duarte's is well-known for good food, but their famous soups always please! If you've never been, it's hard to decide between their artichoke or green chile (poblano) soups! So those in the know order a "1/2 and 1/2", a mixture of both ! So delicious!...More

We had been recommended this place to stop by, and it was super cute. We only picked up take away soups from here for a friend...apparently excellent, but woah, super expensive. We aren't cheap by any means but found $25 for 2 tiny cups of...More

Went for a drive after work and ended up at the coast. We have never been here before, so we stopped for dinner. I have seen this spot on a couple of tv shows. It did not disappoint, started off with the artichoke soup ,then...More

It's worth getting off the beaten path to dine here. It's popular so expect a wait, although it moves quickly. Good service and lots of great choices. Great food and earns honestly four stars.

Actually, COBBLER! Dessert of fruit baked in deep dish with thick, cake-like crust on top. Duarte baked fruit pies, also. But only does fruit cobbler with freshest fruit while in season. Mmm Good! A vintage tavern in a small coastal town, this place is the...More

We lived about 15 miles from here until 1992 when we moved out of California (and eventually out of the U.S.), and came back on a 25-year nostalgia trip. Duarte's remains its charming self, with its famous artichoke soup and terrific calamari, but the prices...More

Three of us ate lunch at Duarte's the other day. We chose the crab melt sandwich, the halibut platter and the flounder sandwich. All the food was good, if nothing to write home about. The crab melt is quite small and comes with nothing --...More
