I like Denny's just because of there breakfasts. This is a really, really good version of that. On your way to Tahoe or Apple Hill, skiing? This is my sons favorite part or a ski day. a big hearty breakfast here. Huge, delicious, great biscuits, pasrties...ummmmmmm. They added a huge deck a couple of years ago that looks out over... Not the home style cooking I was looking for. More of a east meets west type of food. The owner is Korean. The pork sandwich was good and my wife says the burger was good as well. But we had to wait 20 minutes before we were seated although seating was available to begin with. The waitress took our order... More

Stopped here on a busy Saturday (Apple Hill is just up the road) with a group of six after a morning hike. We have not stopped here in a few years because we can't seem to figure out when they are actually open. The sign on the door does not always agree with the actual hours. That said, we had... More

There is a reason we stopped eating here seven years ago, and it hasn't changed in all that time. Since we live in South Lake Tahoe and frequently travel to Sacramento and the Bay Area, this used to be a great restaurant to stop in at and get a bite to eat. Yesterday, we thought we would try it again... More

If your on your way up the mountain a great place to stop for a meal as is is right off the highway. The menu is what you expect for a country cafe offering a nice variety of items. The view is nice as is the decor and the service was good...

Okay - so I have passed this place probably 300 times and never stopped. While we were camping in Pollack Pines at Ghost Mountain Resort we decided to stop in this cute little place for breakfast during a weekday morning. Man am I glad we did. Met the new owner; Jeff Lee. He suggested the table in this picture overlooking... More

Just finished lunch and found the restaurant to be quite exceptional in their courteous, friendly feeling they gave to us. The food was excellent and the views are wonderful. Will definitely be returning soon.

We always wanted to try this place on our way to/from Apple Hill. We went for lunch. Large menu of salads, soups, burgers, sandwiches, pies. The new owners are nice. Seems like a few locals were having breakfast or lunch. Nothing fancy, just a cute place with a country feel. The food is average of what one might expect at... More

Totally impressed! Loved the views - this place is a little gem worth visiting! I ordered the hickory burger with waffle fries- and I definitely recommend them! My husband had a chili bean soup - also a winner- There's also a working cast iron wood fire and makes for a cozy feel. I only wished I had had enough room... More

I gave it a two star for inferior service that happened with the old owners and new owners. I feel the staff is not trained well and they always seem to be understaffed, therefore, waitress's seem to be stressed quite a bit. Food can be good if you hit a day that isn't too crowded. It's worth a try just... More
