Same owners, this one in Livermore connected to gas station/mini market. . Prices a bit high but full range of dishes including fish/seafood. Lots of different options. Many dishes displayed with photo. Added specials posted everywhere. Simple table & chair seating. Stuffed chile peppers, tacos with beef or chicken came with beans, rice, & lettuce with dab of sour cream... More

This is a wonderful place to eat. Very clean, friendly staff and great food. If you don't know where it is, you would drive by it. All food items are prepared well and served beautifully. A great selection of items. The chips are warm and freshly made, the salas' are homemade and wonderful. I have never had a meal that... More

This is a very pure style traditional Mexican food place. It looks simple, no flashy lights or fancy furniture, but they don't compromise on the important things. It's super clean, fast, staff treats you as a guest in the best sense, the food tastes really good and authentic. That's pretty much the best Mexican you can get in that $7-10... More

I was very excited to visit Rancho Grande Taqueria after the reviews. I got a platter with a tamale, taco & cheese enchilada with rice & beans. The taco was good, tamale ok but the enchilada was cold. I mean cold. The grated cheese was laying in the tortilla with cool enchilada sauce on it. I mentioned it to the... More

Rancho Grande reopened in September 2013, with no traces of their kitchen fire. Their Mexican food is by far my favorite in the area. They get lines waiting for food for dinner, but you can also call in your order ahead. No atmosphere as the lines snake by the tables, but you came for the food, yes? Give it a... More

I loved this place. Unfortunately they had a fire and have been closed for months. Hope they get it together again and reopen.

This is quite a nice find especially when you are looking for a tasty carnitas burrito in Pleasanton. I've lived here for over 17 years and no where in Pleasanton come close to the carnitas burrito you find here at Rancho Grande Taqueria. You can call this place a hole in the wall but what they bring into the community... More

This is a little local neighborhood type place. It is small, in a shopping center at Hopyard and Valley, with other small, interesting stores: Gene's Grocery; Sozo Sushi, a Rite-Aid drugstore, and the Jelly Donut (good doughnuts). Rancho Grande Tacqueria is very informal, a good place to bring kids. It can be loud, either from Mexican soccer on the TV,... More
