this is not a typical tapas place; the tapas are an excellent blend of asian and western european cusine. If haute cusine applies to tapas, this is it. The wine selection is over the top. It's very pricey but just an excellent venue.

We visited the place with a large party of 8, half of them - kiddos, for brunch. Although we came in close to their kitchen cut-off time, they gave us plenty of extra time. The tapas were awesome, their custom drinks - also great. We...More

Two things attracted us to this restaurant: 1) we really like great tapas and 2) Sabio posted a really enticing Mothers' Day Prix Fixe menu. Everything about this restaurant exceeded expectations (and that happens very rarely with me). First, the ambiance is great - tables...More

Sabio serves in a tapas style, with smaller dishes to be shared. However, the menu is several cuts above your standard (or traditional) tapas offerings. The taste pairings in each dish are very imaginative. The beet salad was exceptional as were the twice baked potatoes...More

The food was good, the wine was mid-range and the service was OK. BUT, this place is terribly expensive. The bill with for two, with two glasses of their cheapest wine ($11 for a small pour), was $150.00. These are high-end San Francisco prices prices....More

Globally inspired small plates crafted with locally sourced, organic and sustainably grown ingredients from Executive Chef & Partner Francis X. Hogan. A Wine Spectator award winning wine list and imaginative cocktails perfectly complement the inspired dishes. In the heart of historic downtown Pleasanton, the interior reflects a modern European feeling with an expansive wine wall and open kitchen surrounded by warm, Spanish themed tiles.
