this place is great for catering and for families. I recommend everything here including their barbecue sauces.

The restaurant is clean and friendly. I got a pulled pork sandwich with fries. The food was average this is another after hour hang out. The free ice cream is the best.

OK, let me cover myself regarding the Title. The Barbecue didn't taste 'bad', but I am used to 'Texas Barbecue', and this just didn't measure up. The place looks like a barbecue place and was the choice of the person I was working with who had a casual knowledge of the area. I ordered the two meat plate ($16.00) and... More

Although the food is good, the portions are very skimpy compared to the price. The restaurant seems to be clean and the staff are nice and friendly, the service is good as well. However; the cost of the food versus the quantity of food is lacking to fulfill the customers appetite.

When Dickey's first opened in Porterville, I really enjoyed it. The BBQ meats were excellent, the service was great, and it just had a good feel to it. Now, since the original owners retired and sold, the place just isn't the same. We visited on Sunday for dinner and, although the food quality was still basically the same, there were... More

The pulled pork BBQ sandwich is really good. We also liked the potato salad and beans. I'm making myself hungry just writing this. If you want down home, good food this is the place.

I was looking forward to a local crowd and having a beer with ribs after a long tough day of driving mountain roads. No such luck. Apparently, the place has changed hands and no longer has a liquor license. There was a grandmother with a walker with an adult grandchild and me. The ribs were mediocre at best and the... More

My husband and I tried this for the first time and it was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was really great, rustic and comfortable. I ordered the three meat plate and my husband ordered the rib plate. The meats were so tender and flavorful and the portions were so large that I took half of mine home. The price was very... More

Love the brisket especially the burnt ends. I lived in Texas for awhile and this is great Q. Free ice cream is great too.

Delicious food. If you want a great tasty BBQ with a lot of flavor try Dicky's. They have many meat choices. we've been a few times. It is a large, long business. The sides are very good. (If you have trouble ambulating-- the bathroom is "way in the back, far from the door" If you use a wheelchair there is... More
