Perfectly serviceable, good Mexican food but the ambiance is extraordinary. Set in the midst of a folk art park- a delightful and original piece of Americana. Do not miss this!!!

You need to go here!! Stopped in this morning by chance since we were in the area and so glad we did! Went to see all the art on the grounds and stayed to eat. I had the chili relleno plate and it was oh so good. It came with 2 chili rellenos, rice, beans and a little salad all... More

Stopped in a few times on my recent business trip and was not disappointed. I got the soft chicken tacos both times with an ice cold Modelo Especial. The green Chile salsa is amazing. Loved sitting out in the unique patio area too!

This is an eclectic restaurant that has good food, FANTASTIC margaritas and Micheladas, and offers an recycled art garden to tour. I loved how friendly and attentive the staff to each person dining there. The food was reasonably priced, served promptly. The best part of the restaurant (besides the pepino margarita) was the art garden. The owner has upcycled to... More

So the draw to this restaurant is that it is full of things the owner has made using recycled materials - he had made many different sculptures and contraptions and cool things to look at. The food was a healthy portion, so I wasn't disappointed. And their fresh juice is great! I had the guava juice and I enjoyed it... More

We ate at Tio's twice during our weekend staying at the Mission Inn--dinner Friday night and brunch Sunday morning after we checked out. To me, it was excellent Mexican food that wasn't trying to be something that it's not--fancy. We had two tacos each for dinner and were very satisfied but not stuffed, which I really dislike. For brunch we... More
