We came here for lunch. I had the shrimp and butter lettuce salad. It was very tasty, but pricey, $20. It was nice to try this place once, but for the value I'll go somewhere else.

Had old fashioned cocktail, butcher's block, calamari with the 10oz center cut filet mignon medium rare, chocolate cake, and café latte. Very good, as usual. Never been disappointed, aside from the loud annoying people getting drunk at the bar. If you don't mind spending $125...More

The cuisine is very competent and you won't be disappointed with whatever you expect, but the prices are pretty steep so if you go in with the right attitude, you won't be taken aback.

Highly recommended by hotel we stayed out for a lite dinner. Told food was excellent. Ordered halibut and smallest prime plus lettuce wedges and French onion soup. Halibut was under cooked and fishy smell. Prime rib was cool for no red order. Meals were large...More

My husband and I love a good, honest burger. And Paul Martin's is by far the best in the area. The meat is seasoned and grilled so well that it doesn't need any fancy add-ons to taste fantastic. I am also a huge fan of...More

This was a truly delightful and best gourmet fried chicken we ever had. They brine the chicken for 24 hours and then I think they marinade it in buttermilk then they fry it with some wonderful herbs and spices. This is a Prix Fixe only...More

Great food and service we shared the happy hour menu. The deviled eggs were perfectly cooked with a little prosciutto, it would be nice to add a little bit more prosciutto. The tacos were a perfect size to share, the flavor profile was excellent balance...More

This restaurant has good food, but is a bit pricey for the quantity and quality. We had the halibut which was good, but the burger buns were white, pasty and tasteless. They were also small. The atmosphere was corporate, and felt like a good place...More

The food and crafted drinks are amazing! During happy hour, try the blue cheese hamburger or really anything on the happy hour menu. My girlfriends and I meet here often and we have tried the entire menu. I had the special on my Birthday which...More

I would assume so. Most good restaurants do. Your sister should like this restaurant. It's very good - and approachable too.

Description
The menu at Paul Martin’s consists of dishes aimed at taking diners back to the American farm with meat raised in a humane and wholesome way, locally sourced organic produce, fish from conscientious fishmongers, artisan cheeses and cured meats from small local purveyors and custom-made bread from expert bakers. The California-centric wine list twists and turns, by glass or bottle, through the Golden State’s fruitful vineyards, with an occasional stop for an Oregon Pinot Gris or a Washington dry Riesling. And behind Paul Martin’s elegantly rustic bar is an interesting array of local craft beer and spirited cocktails with fresh garnishes. Good times and thoughtful food are a way of life at Paul Martin’s local, American Bistro.
