We stopped in with a group after work... Sat at the big communal table..... Enjoyed a couple hours... They have a nice cock cocktail and wine menu with a few items available for happy hour... Not the greatest happy hour menu actually.. Everyone liked their food and drinks.. Atmosphere was nice.. waitress was nice... Can be a little pricy but... More

I've walked by this restaurant countless times and finally decided to try it. We were not disappointed in the least! The asparagus rissoto was by far my favorite, so creamy and the asparagus had the perfect amount of bite to it. Pleasant outside seating, quick and friendly servers. My husband had the steak and it was so tender and tasty... More

Went for special date-night dinner. The restaurant always hits a home run with every dish. Service is great. Atmosphere is casual enough to go in jeans yet upscale enough to be dressed up. Menu doesn't shift a lot but every once in a while there is something new. I think the restaurant would be even better if the chef did... More

We stumbled across this gem of a restaurant while searching for a place to eat during the Unified show. Fortunately we timed it right and a table for 8 opened up when we showed up. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. I had the lobster ravioli to start and it was fantastic. However, this was only the beginning. For the main... More

It was Friday night, after a long drive from San Francisco to Sacramento. Our group of friends were ready for dinner and there were many choices. We check the location, cuisine and the prices to settle on The Press Bistro instead. Though we called ahead and verified the number and requested rsvp, it didn't help as it was Friday night... More

This is a great place to meet your friends and to have Tapas! It is also a very good dinner spot. We both had the lasagna ( very good) and cocktails (ginger tattoo). The lasagna is very good! I don't normally or lasagna out! Overall very good!

Friends of ours took us to The Press (as in a wine press logo) in midtown. The food was very well prepared and the ingredients were first-rate. Service was good and attentive. Our friends brought a bottle of wine for sharing - w/ a corkage fee applied. We ordered a tapa trip and a calamari dish as appetizers. We ordered... More

We ate dinner here to celebrate a special occasion and were mostly satisfied with the food and very pleased with the wine selection and attentive service, but it was so noisy it was hard to talk across the table. As good as the food was, the serving sizes were relatively small, especially the pasta dish. The noise level alone will... More

Great California food: fresh, local, and well-prepared -- with emphasis on the ingredients (without sauces or toppings) ! Excellent produce/vegetables, fish, bread, and deserts. Fair prices, too. Plus the space is sufficiently quiet for conversation. Good choice in Sacramento !

We've eaten here four times now and each time we walk away glowing from the delicious food, wonderful service, and terrific cocktails. Have to say that James (a truly professional waiter and extremely amicable person) helps to make the experience the best we've had out----- first class all the way!!! Some people have said in reviews that the portions can... More
