we ate a early dinner here, had nice omelette ham and cheese. Was in the mood for breakfast, and my wife had the country fried steak, which was very large for her. Very good service.

The onion rings and the milk shake were well made. The staff were friendly. The decor with bear figures was unique. Overall a good experience.

I had the breakfast special which was NY strip and it was tender and flavorful and with biscuits and gravy and two eggs and great coffee it really hit the spot - and the service was as good as the food!

Over cooked and generous portions. My trout was very, very dry. Drink options are limited as to quality and quantity. Service was what one would expect in a diner although it is suppose to be a restaurant. I think that it is a work in progress.

All the tempting items on the menu, I thought that I would be good and get fish. The trout was dry, dry, dry. The salad was fresh and tasty. I wish I had a cinnamon roll:)

How could I have never heard of this restaurant? It has a cute, corny atmosphere, the menu is big and diverse (Linguiça!!). We were seated right away to the back room. We were greeted by a very friendly waiter and ordered fairly quick. Then waited...More

This is located at West El Camino & El Centro, right off Hwy 80 W/B. It's probably less than 15 minutes from Sac Int. Airport. You would need to go 80 E/B & go I-5 north to get to the airport from the Diner. Hope this... More

As the capital of California, it will come as no surprise that our exciting city is filled with many places to eat. None of them, however, are quite as unique as the Black Bear Diner. Not only do we offer a collection of hearty dishes in a bear-themed, woodsy setting, we feature the very best staff of hosts, servers, cooks, and busboys. Our particular diner is also set apart from others thanks to a large, separate dining room that can be configured with dining tables and/or classroom tables to accommodate meetings and banquets. And thanks to our proximity to the Sacramento International Airport and being an in-between from the Bay Area to Reno and Tahoe, locals and travelers alike absolutely love us!
