I had been here once time before and after ordering my traditional eggs and bacon breakfast, saw the French toast being delivered to another table. This time I ordered the French toast (1/2 order) and was quite pleased with the results. Different than I have ever had and something I would definitely want again. The ambiance is as eclectic as... I lived in San Diego for a few years in the 70s and remember fondly the funky beach restaurants. When I visited the Tower, it was a flashback. Eclectic interior decor makes the meal worth the usual wait. Or you can eat outside.
Busy busy place! The decor is almost overwhelmingly colorful. We went in December, so opted to eat inside, but they have extensive outdoor seating with heaters when it's cold. Delicious huevos rancheros, chilaquiles, and French toast! Funky décor and outdoor seating in a parklike setting when weather is nice. They don't take reservations for the weekend, so plan to wait a while, but so worth it!
Amazing french toast with peaches and cream! Their lattes are delicious too. Staff are always friendly, they bring a high chair for baby before we ask and the cheque doesn't take too long at the end. We have been about 5 times. Great outdoor area and inside has great decor. Great for bog groups, children and if you are Hungry!
We've been going to the Tower Cafe for many years - and have never been disappointed. With its eclectic decor, extensive menu and buzz of energy it's always a treat to meet friends and or family there! Word to the wise...save room for dessert...check out the case before you order!!

The service is very good and the decor makes it feel like eating at your grandma's kitchen table. The portions are very good as well which makes... More
