Wow, this hidden gem is worth seeking out. The staff members offered quick and efficient service and the food was phenomenal, I ordered the red curry (asked for it spicy) and brown rice, the Thai iced tea was PERFECT. I will be coming back!

One of my favorite Thai dishes is green curry. This dish at Drunken Noodles was so-so. I would have liked it better with more vegetables, basil, and coconut milk. The drunken noodles and yellow curry were good. Staff were friendly and service was good. The...restaurant wasn’t too loud. With many Thai choices in Sacramento, next time we will probably go elsewhere.More

This was our first time here and it is apparently now known as 'Drunken Noodle'. The food was delicious, portions were large and service was fairly quick. It is in a relatively small space and gets quite busy, very quickly. We have added this to...our list of "must eat" places in Midtown Sacramento!More

We had some great vegetable dishes there - it is a small place, but probably not so well known so we did not need any reservations.

Very tasty food with large portions I would recommend ordering on dish to be split between 2 people. The staff was friendly and food fast. Even for a Sunday lunch there were many people. I would recommend this place to eat.

My friend and I like to eat here (also known as Drunken Noodle) because it is easy to walk to and offers a full menu. Although we tend to order the same dishes. I love the cashew nut with chicken over white rice.

My lunch buddy and I dropped by for a lunch and got lucky to get a table, as the size is a bit small and every other table was occupied. Several Thai diners were there, always a good sign for regional food. I had my...favorite Thai dish, larb pork salad, and thought it was excellent. Service was pretty good and of course the level of spicing was immediately asked us after our order to avoid getting hot than we could handle. CAUTION: We ate there January 16. Some friends said it is now closed (with another Coconut now open at another location) and my attempt to make a phone call at mid-day on Saturday, Jan. 21 was not answered plus the phone messages said it was too full to take new messages. Check to see if it is open or closed before visiting.More

Service is fast and non-invasive, clean and very close tables-but the food is fresh and really good.

Amazing food, good service! As its popular its a wait on busy nights which can take 30 minutes. Also no space for a stroller if you have a baby..its very quaint! Worth a visit :-) recommend Phad thai seafood or chicken

Fast, friendly service! Really enjoyed the praram chicken, pad-Thai, green papaya salad and say-tay (chicken). The place has a local neighborhood atmosphere - very welcoming.

This has taken place as my current most fave Thai restaurant in Sacramento, over the previous one called Thai Spoon in Natomas. (Ha, they even recruited the wait staff at Thai spoon to work over here!) No overdose of soy sauce which many Asian restaurants...are culprit of. Nor resorting to the evil shot of MSG to temporary bring out the satiate appetite but leaving you craving to thirst your quench for hours after. Instead, it's Thai culinary style mixed with some home-cooked flavors, with a tiny twist of modern Cali fusion (by now we know everything avocado is 'Californian'). Love the Panang curry made from homemade curry paste. Too bad they don't use fresh coconut - but I imagine that would drive operation costs putting it out of range of a diner-priced eatery. Top appetizers: fresh tofu roll and fried calamari didn't disappoint. I just wish they had hoisin sauce as alternative for those peanut allergic folks. Larb earned 5 star as 'the best' my other half has ever eaten. And it's always the same thing ordered at every Thai restaurant (being the few low carb options in Thai food). Shrimps in the eggplant entree were large, freshly succulent, and juicy. Eggplants were nicely deep fried to a crusted perfection before sautéing with the rest of the dish. You can't stop eating. Icing on the cake is the $2 beer, but the brand rotates nightly. We happened to be there for the IPA ale night. (was bottle, not on tap!) Super refreshing! The bill came up higher than we usually would for a similar dinner elsewhere. that's because appetizers are on the high side. If you can get there before 6pm, all appetizers are only $3. At that price, you can almost binge on a feast of appetizers and get away with one entree to share among yourselves! Service is fast but that might be because we were at the tail end of rush hour.More

Had a very nice dinner here with my family. Started with potstickers and spring rolls. My wife enjoyed a mushroom soup and I had chicken with veggies. Our granddaughter had the Thai chicken fried rice. Can report each of these dishes was very good. The...reason I don't give them a 'five" is because the server could not tell us if they used MSG and the peanut sauce was bland. I was surprised at the lack of character of the sauce. Am not a fan of spicy but like tasty. We have family members who cannot eat any foods with MSG so this is IMPORTANT. Perhaps the owner will read this and note on menu. Friendly staff reasonable prices. A small dining area so if you are a crowd go when they are not busy. They serve large portions so plan on sharing or take home.More

I had never eaten here before and was invited to lunch by a coworker. I was pleasantly surprised! The food was good and they give you a lot!!! I didn't even eat half. The place is relatively small. I was back to back with the...couple seated behind me. But I wasn't put off. It was busy as most places are for lunch. But we got there just after 12pm and found seating immediately, but the crowd started coming in probably around 12:30. The service was good. Our food came out quickly; not a long wait at all. I would definitely come back and maybe have dinner.More

We have read great reviews about this restaurant in the past and actually attempted to visit the restaurant and it was closed between lunch and dinner. So please note their hours: M-F Lunch 11:30 am - 2:00pm; Dinner 4:30pm - 9:00pm; S-S 12:00pm - 9:00pm....We were back in midtown this evening and oh my - what a fabulous tasty Thai meal! We arrived at the end of their happy hour (4:30 pm - 6:00 pm every day) and had wonderful draft beers (IPA, coconut porter), pot stickers and calamari for only $3 each. The house-made pot sticker plate was especially beautifully presented. The rice paper wrapped fresh rolls was also a beautiful plate from afar and will definitely be on our table on our next visit! To emphasize, happy hour is a bargain! Now on to the entrees. We enjoyed a very flavorful and generous portion (one order shared was a good-sized cup each) of Tom Kha soup with plenty of mushrooms and chicken. We also ordered their red curry with beef and chose their very nutty brown nice to accompany the super tasty dish. Amazing. The portions are generous too and most people appeared to take leftovers home. The place is small and nondescript, but some of the best places are hole-in-the walls. It's a very cozy neighborhood kind of place. The service is adequate and we interacted with multiple staff members and had no negative experiences. By the time we finished our meal, there was a line of people waiting for tables. Summary: super tasty, fresh, authentic, and generous portions. We want to come back soon, but we both felt that this may be our 'new favorite' Thai restaurant.More
