We had dinner at Market's with friends who had eaten there in the past. None of us were disappointed. The food was very good. The restaurant itself is welcoming and comfortable, very nicely decorated. Friendly helpful staff. A good restaurant for a simple meal.

We were driving through St. Helena and decided to stop for lunch. A rare rainy day but had seen the Market as we drove looking for parking. Parked close to the Market so that is where we went. We got lucky and they were able to seat us immediately. We love to eat and consider ourselves "foodies". The lunch was... More

Sat at the bar our last night on vacation. Happy hour wines were very low quality, and this is NAPA! The patrons next to us were locals and they asked the bartender what they were pouring that evening and she said Freemark Abbey and Franciscan. It appears that locals get a great happy hour and tourists (where they make their... More

It's really disappointing that you weren't pleased with your meals here, and I'm sorry that you weren't a fan of what our happy hour wine deals were. However, I can assure you that we use the same wine for that deal but that we can have different specials on bottles. We also don't have a corkage fee, so if you... More

We chose this because neither my wife nor I were in the mood for a "fancy" meal. All that wine......So we chose the Market. Everything about this place worked. It was lively not noisy. The service was top notch. The menu was varied. The price was reasonable. This is the place to go if you are exhausted from wining and... More

Excellent calamari , sandwiches, and carrot/ginger soup. Reasonable prices and very friendly staff. Skip the empanadas as they are more like a tostada. All in all a gem in St. Helena. Great place to grab a bite at the bar or sit at a table at this excellent eatery.

Stopped here on the way home from a weekend in the area at the recommendation of one of the local wineries. We had an amazing dinner, our waited was nice and attentive. Great mac and cheese - just what you need to soak up the wine!

The best local restaurant in town for locals and visitors. The food is always very good and the service is impeccable. Ask for Roman and the fun begins. The interior is old Saint Helena. The wine list has a wide selection of local wines.

Food was good but service was slow. Chicken was cooked a little long. Think they were having computer issues Not a great experience but think they were just having a bad day.

I'm glad that you found our food to be good but I'm of course disappointed that our service was slow and if the chicken was slightly overdone for your liking. That really isn't the norm here, so thank you for recognizing it could have been a rare bad day for us. While that isn't an excuse, I hope you'll come... More

Market is located within the Main Street of St Helena, in a building formerly occupied by a pharmacy (since the 19th century). The ambience is very attractive, with a fine old mahogany bar (from the San Francisco Palace Hotel) and walls built from locally mined stone. The food and service is excellent, with an interesting range of choices. Besides that,... More

We have lived in Napa for over forty four years and have watched and enjoyed the evolution of the Valley's culinary joys. When we came in 1972, there were only a couple of "good" restaurants in the Valley. Now, of course, we have one of the greatest concentrations of Michelin-starred restaurants in the U.S. We find Market to be the... More
