I had a two-enchilada plate, with green sauce on one and red sauce on the other. The flavors were very good and the service was very friendly. The prices are slightly higher than a couple of other nearby restaurants, but still in an affordable price range.

My husband and I stopped at this restaurant for dinner. This was our first time here. The staff was very friendly. The food was very good. I ordered the molcajete and it consisted of chicken, shrimp and carne asada on top of chorizo with melted cheese. It was delicious. My husband ordered the fajitas. Both orders came with rice and... The food is authentic, with some unique family-type recipes. Most of the regulars get a tall beer served with shrimp, celery, and other things, but I forgot its name. You won't go away hungry! Very friendly atmosphere.

Service is good, servers attentive and as fast as possible. Nice full portions of moist rice and tasty refried beans with each platter. I love the combos as I can never make up my mind - it's all good. Meaty pollo (chicken) that stewed and flavorful; tender asada (beef) and carnitas that fill the tortillas. If you like chile rellenos... More

Mi Tierra in Salinas we visited when looking for a Mexican lunch spot while visiting the Steinbeck Museum which is a kitty corner away. Some of the reviews seem to cover their old location - the new one is nicely done with bathrooms, 2 dining areas front & rear with a large public parking structure behind it. Right on the... More

Mi Tierra has been in Salinas forever and is considered a local institution. There new location on Monterey Street (between the Steinbeck Center and the Maya Cinemas) is a big improvement over their last site on Gabilan, around the corner. I come here for the pozole and caldos and they are excellent. Served the way they are supposed to be.... More

We visited this place by accident , after visiting J. Steinbeck center we stopped for a meal. One thing you need to consider: Portions are huge - really very big. we went there with my wife and we should have taken one meal for 2 people. Food was really great! Huge portions for the price you pay. this is a... More

We went here after reading reviews online while spending one night at the Laurel Inn (which was a nice place). The place is a dive or hole in the wall with maybe 10 tables which are the portable plastic type with plastic table cloths. BUT the food was delicious and they served very big portions for the price. My husband... More

The burrito al pastor and cheese enchiladas were amazing. But, the restroom is in an adjoining apartment building and appears to be shared with tenants. The potty was clean, but there was no place to wash your hands. At all. So that just grosses me out that patrons use the toilet, can't wash, then touch condiments, tables, chairs, etc. Deal... More
