La Super-Rica was immortalized a couple of decades back by Julia Child, and it remains an institution. On a Monday afternoon, the lunch line was shorter than normal. The food was very good, very reasonably priced, and the portions were bigger than I remembered. If you don't mind plastic chairs, formica tables, and the tacky light green color scheme, it's... It simply doesn't get any better. Order the "Especial" with a side of guac! Add a Horchata and you're set!!

You can watch your food being prepared as you wait. The tortillas are delicious . The salsa and pico de gallo are wonderful, Get them while you wait. A small surcharge for extra but well worth it. The chiliquelies are the best you will ever have. The staff should be well tipped for the quality of the food. Isador and... More

This place is on every 'must visit' list so visit we did. It's a fairly basic place and is cash only. The menu is quite long and the dishes are small so you can try a few things. We went for steak tacos, chorizo tacos, a chicken quesadilla and a Super-Rica Especial. The tortillas were really good with a slightly... More

The dishes are plain, simple, but the especial, the chorizo taco's, oh my gosh. I would go there for a full month every single day. A absolute gorgeous place off the beaten path. I will be back some day...

The line outside has us excited but when we tasted our food, we were not satisfied. The tacos came with nothing but unseasoned meat missing the onions, tomato, and salsa that normally comes with tacos. The red salsa was nice and hot and the staff are friendly.

I've been coming here for years and it is consistently good. Hate the wait, but it's worth it! Carné con Crema (sic?) is AMAZING!!

I've been coming here for years and every time I do I'm always afraid that I'm going to drive up Milpas Street and find it gone or very changed. This visit I was both delighted and relieved to find that only one thing has changed: they are not using as much styrofoam! I first learned about La Super Rica because... More

We were told that Julia Child used to frequent this spot hence making it famous. Very much a whole in the wall but with tasty choices if tacos, etc. Affordable but cash only.

After a day of wine tasting, this was our dinner stop based on recommendations from friends. Several people in front of us ordered the special (#16), so I took their cue and did the same. We also ordered a chorizo quesadilla. While ordering, we could see homemade tortillas getting pressed and put on the cooktop. After paying (cash only), we... More
