We stopped in for lunch on Fat Tuesday for a Cajun fix and were blown away by the service and the quality of the food. The staff was extremely efficient and friendly and they all helped each other out. The food was the equal to or better than what you would get in New Orleans. They boast that their Bread... More

This was our first visit but definitely not our last. We made the only reservations you can for dinner at 5:30. The staff are welcoming and attentive. The popcorn crayfish as an appetizer is a must. There are a variety of mini muffins ranging from cornbread to rosemary to molasses. All are yummy. We enjoyed the fresh blackened Louisiana redfish.... More

This was our first visit, and we loved it. We ordered delicious mixed drinks, that arrived in mason jars. We were then brought a basket of mixed muffins. They were all great, from the jalapeno to the banana walnut. I ordered the Penne Pasta Pontalba and my husband ordered the Pecan Chicken Picatta. Both were delicious, but we both prefered... More

We had a very good dinner at the Palace Grill. The gumbo was very very good, the freshly baked warm muffins were delicious. The wait staff is very attentive and took great care of us. Definitely make reservations or go early, the restaurant fills up quickly.

Recommended by a number of locals, my husband and I were super excited to try this restaurant. When you arrive, there's beads on the table (which my husband ended up wearing for our entire honeymoon road trip!) and right after you order, you get six different mini-muffins. HELLO! YUM! Our food was delicious, but even more special was the energy... More

We're super excited you and your husband listened to the locals and came by for a bite, Tiffany! From the Mardi Gras beads to the honeymoon dessert, it was a real pleasure to make your visit special. Hope the rest of your road trip was fantastic, and we'll see you again if you're ever back in Santa Barbara! All the... More

Our family stayed in Santa Barbara last week for three days, and two of those days we dined at The Palace Grill! That's how good it is. For dinner the first night we tried the crayfish popcorn and two of us shared one of the sampler platters, which came with a chocolate souffle. I forgot to mention that they bring... More

Haven't been here for more than 20 years. Still extraordinarily great service and wonderful ambiance, but the food was not as good as I remember. We shared the expensive (and it was!) sampler between the 3 of us and there was more than enough. I found the veggies tasteless and I am a veggie lover. We loved the salmon. I... More

I'm so glad we got to welcome you back after a 20-year hiatus, Jane! While it's wonderful to know our service is just as excellent as you remember, I'm sorry our food couldn't match that this time. Still, we're happy you guys all got plenty to eat with that sampler, and we hope we won't have to wait another 20... More

Simply wonderful creole food. It is tight, noisy, and most of the time, there is a long wait for a table... but it is worth the wait. It is a plus that it is very reasonably priced, especially for Santa Barbara. Weeknights they take reservations - make one. Friday & Saturday the only reservation time available is 5:30. If that... Upper end cost but worth it. Food and service was excellent and would recommend this to anyone if you like Cajun food. It had been awhile since I was in New Orleans so this was a blissful experience.
