We enjoyed a lovely wine dinner here with friends last week. Staff was very attentive but not too. After sharing a salad, I enjoyed the sea bass with rock shrimp and hubs enjoyed the tuna. The group was attuned to dessert, so we all enjoyed a different one...salted caramel ice cream between home made crisp cookies and hubs a wonderful... More

The two of us walked in and we were welcomed immediately by the host, and by the calm, lovely, warm atmosphere. A table awaited us, as we had reserved for 8:15 but it was ready at 8. The service, attention, food and wine.. and the waiter were just right. Crab cakes, chicken, pork shank , pinot, and dessert... all delightfully... More

Every time we visit Santa Barbara, we book a table at Bouchon. Time and time again, it is a one-of-a-kind French-American dining experience, celebrating the area's Spanish, Mexican, and American history. The owner and staff know the culinary and oenological secrets of Santa Barbara County, the central coast, and in fact the entire world. It is California at its best,... More

At 9 PM on a Saturday this place was still busy. It is that good. Squash soup was excellent. I enjoyed the sea bass which was perfectly cooked. My spouse chose the duck breast and said it was delicious. Lots of interesting local wines available by the bottle or glass.

Mitch, Aimee and there staff (Chef included) are one of the most consistent restaurants in Santa Barbara. Locally sourced foods, impeccable wine list, service spot on every day. It shows too after all these years.

Had hoped for a much higher level of food and service and was left wanting. The wine list was good but the server who was lovely otherwise poured almost as much on my table as she did in my glass (okay, I exaggerate but not by much), and there was a certain laid back attitude to everything. I think this... More

Lovely ambiance inside and small street side patio. Interesting local wines. Had a Sauvignon blanc called Big Tar (!) which was very good. Waiter recommendation. Good waiter. Food was also very good. Salmon entree particularly tasty. Blackberry lemon upside down cake made clever and tasty dessert.

Nice atmosphere but a bit noisy for Seniors with hearing problems. Menu varied - my seafood choice was great. Nice wine list and recommendations.

A restaurant is a lot of moving pieces and for a restaurant to be great, everything must on point. I expected that from Bouchon, but the service came up short as did the meal. We asked the server to recommend an appetizer, wine, and main dishes and he was insipid, or "wishy washy" about it all and unfortunately so was... More

Hidden gem for an intimate dining experience. Greeted by the Chef we were seated and served in a very European and personal way. Like dining with an old friend we just met. A birthday experience that was quiet and friendly. We will definately return when we stay in SB again ! C&H
