First thing: get there early. This place fills up fast. Second thing: the volcano. Just get it. Third thing: I may or may not have spent 1/5 of my student loan here when I was in college. It was THAT good!

The only good thing about this place is the hours of operation. When everything else in the neighborhood is closed they are open late night until 1 am. The food was horrible and the service not much better.
As I travel all over the US I always like to try local sushi bars. Edomasa was just down the street from my hotel so I thought that I would give it a try. It was nice to see some things that you don't always...More
Edomasa has the advantage of being off the main drag of downtown located in the much quieter upper State Street area. The owner is awesome and makes friendly visits to tables throughout his shifts. Their sushi is consistently pretty good, some excellent rolls and others...More

Excellent sushi from a twenty+ year establishment. Try their own creations as well as the standard fair. Locals will often bring in their own catch for preparation.
Only place I could find open near midnight. As last resort, it was fine. Its Japanese food that is cheapened. The wait staff didn't seem with it. The sushi bar guys were the best ... on top of everything and giving the orders.
Our friends took us out to a surprise dinner, and I was surprised. I live on Maui. I have had great sushi, and this was up there. Fresh sushi and authentic Japanese dishes. The unfiltered sake was onolicious! I will be going back when in...More
After reading multiple five-star review, my husband and I decided to try this place. And what a disappointment it was. Food that people are raving about is below average. Ingredients, preparation, presentation - all this deserves no more than three stars. Gyoza was frozen and...More
