The new location doesn't quite have the same ambience as the original downtown location, but there is the same friendly local atmosphere, great pastries and breakfasts, very good coffee, and great service. A fun to hang out and read the paper or get to know the locals.

Great food with friendly, customer-focused service, all in a comfortable corner bakery and eats setting. It may look like your average breakfast and lunch place from the outside, but the food on the menu is a cut above, and differentiated by both quality and preparation. Try the fish tacos if you want an example. Good for anyone (couples, solo, family,... More

Our family visited for breakfast one morning having seen favourable reviews on TripAdvisor. We sat outside the cafe and enjoyed the sunshine, the excellent coffee (the best American I had while in the USA this visit), croissants and muffins. All very fresh and served by a nice man with a strong Mexican accent (which I struggled with!). We were lucky... More

The choice of seating may be a little limited. But, you'll find plenty to choose from on their menu. If you needed to pick up some supplies for home, they can do that too!

They make Challah. Challah. They make the dough and bake it there. The ciabatta is also great. They have pastries with creative combinations of flavors and they look gorgeous. I have yet to have an item that is over-sweet. They let the non-sugar ingredients shine. Consider their banana bread pudding or banana cake. They also have savory items also. Seating... More

On our way out of Santa Barbara we stopped for an early morning breakfast. We found many healthy choices and good coffee as well. I had a tasty spinach and mushroom omelette. There are several ingredients to select from and In lieu of the potatoes as a side you may have greens. The wheat toast we had was very good.... More

b=Breakfast or lunch this is a fun cafe. The bread is the draw, but the sandwiches and pastries are really top shelf. A few tables inside and out it is fun to hang there. Although the tables outside are on the sidewalk there is a bit of a buffer and if the weather is nice it is a draw.
