Bear claws are the best. The almond pastry is also delish. I was there very early (before 6:00) and they were open and well stocked. Wish I had gone there rather than Denny's. Didn't realize any other place else would be open so early. They serve bagels and other items.

Dunkin Donuts...no thanks !!! No Krispy Kreme in Santa Barbara... no worries, Spudnuts is awesome and every bit as good as Krispy Kreme. Try the chocolate covered French crullers !!! The fritters ain't bad either.

These are the very best donuts I have ever had in my life. They are made with potato flour instead of wheat flour, and are light and fluffy. There are dozens of choices, and the shop has many different drink choices, too. Wonderful wonderful donuts! Make sure you stop here if you go to Santa Barbara!

I had my son with me on a business trip and thought we would splurge for a donut. Reviews looked great but in the end it was average. Great for a quick donut but don't expect much.

Even though $3.50 is a bit pricey, you really should try their "Cronut". It is made from puffy croissant dough, cut like a donut and then fried. WOW! A flaky taste of paradise indeed. The regular donuts are priced competitive with any other shop, but they too, are delicious. Spudnuts is surely on my top five list for donut shops.... More

Spudnuts was my third choice for breakfast at this interesting little shopping mall near my motel. Upscale Jeannine's was filled to overflowing, and Rudy's, the Mexican place, did not serve coffee, so I walked a few more yards to Spudnuts, and I'm glad I did. There was an exceptionally wide variety of pastries, so I ordered an apple turnover and... More

The croissant-donut hybrid is delicious. I have tried both the Choclate and the maple flavors and they are great. Cost a lot more than your typical donut but worth it. I read they have 6 varieties of the cro-nut. They apple fritters are also very good. They also make sandwiches and have croissants and other cakes. Friendly too.

Nailbanger Here again; These little gems are delicious, soft and sweet. They are called Spudnut because they have potato flour in the mix. Some of the best you will ever eat anywhere. They cost $9.00 a dozen for the regular rounds and $1-3 each for the specialty ones each. The history behind spud nut is interesting, there hard to find anymore,so if you... Saw this on one of the foodie channels. Had to find it. They also have something that is a croissant/donut. Everything was great. The Spudnuts are made with potato flour. They are light and tender. Wish they had one in West Virginia

I love Spudnuts. It doesn't look good from the outside, and the inside is kind of stark, so it's not winning any beauty contests. There are usually some vagrants outside as well - but think of these deterrents as the badlands of Modor, trying to discourage you reaching the fires of Mount Doom. If Mount Doom was an awesome donut,... More
