Excellent baked goods, and really good coffee (from Four Barrel). The bread is fantastic and the fruit galettes are addictive.

This is a quaint little place that definitely has a local town feel. The prices are good and the food is very good. It makes you feel like you are one of the locals. The seating inside and out is not the greatest, but for just coffee and pastry it is fine. Parking is also not the greatest, but it... More

Where do I begin? It's tucked in a little strip mall on the west side of Santa Cruz, and so far seems only to be a local place. This bakery has the MOST wonderful pastries and breads around. The food and atmosphere is joy-filled and wholesome. A must for breakfast.

100% agree with everyone else who gave it 5 stars. Everything baked on site which sets it apart from those other "bakeries" which are simply storefronts who ship it in. Beautiful baked goods. Really nice, too.

What a great find. Our son took us there for their buckwheat scones as he is gluten intolerant and the scones are fantastic. They have wonderful breads as well. It is a sweet place.

This is a review of Companion Bakery's excellent bread, which I have purchased numerous times at the bakery on Mission Street, and at their stands at the West Side Farmer's Market (Saturdays), and the Downtown Farmer's Market (Wednesdays). We go through a few loaves a week. They have a standard organic sourdough, which comes as plain, with walnuts, and with... More

The bread here is fabulous. REAL bread, made with REAL flour. In fact, the flour here is special from one particular grower, as I understand. Wow. This is the real thing. Take some home. The coffee is a welcome change from anything Starbucks. Here you will enjoy something with real aroma and flavor. Why not try one of their many... More

This is our local, go-to bakery. The bread is excellent, especially the challah and the seeded baguettes that look like tree branches and the goat horn which is made with goat cheese. Or you can just get a plain simple sourdough. Big wooden table to sit and drink your chai, and the gluten free ritatta is good if you need... More

I love this bakery. Organic bread and pastries. Granola, home made jams, a great selection of teas and coffee. The staff are friendly, and it's only about a mile or less to the ocean. Great place to sit inside or outside. A winery next door, a skin care place, and a bicycle shop if you ride there and need any... More
