Food was awful. I ordered broccoli and beef over pork fried rice. What I got a pound of white rice, very little beef or broccoli and that thing called sauce or juice to help all that dry junk go down a little easier was completely non existent. I threw it in the garbage and called Domino's

Big rice bowls filled with fresh, healthy combinations of meat, seafood, vegetables and flavours. At first look the sign might suggest Chinese you want to avoid, but what you find inside makes this a very good, inexpensive meal choice in Santa Cruz.

Don't be fooled by the look rather ordinary look of this place; the food is EXCELLENT!!!!!! I'm vegetarian, allergic to seafood, nuts AND gluten... so you can imagine how difficult it can be for me to find good, satisfying and tasty food options.... :) But this place had it all!!!!! I'm actually salivating at the memory of my meal while... More

A wait to order-Limited seating if you're fortunate to even find a place to sit-parking is a problem. the food is freshly made,it's not exceptional. IT'S AN honest attempt at serving healthy food at a reasonable price..The place is over rated, however I can appreciate why it is a favorite of the locals......

If you love sauces, this is your kind of place. The veggies are organic and good tasting. The bowls tend to be a bit too small a portion, but they're good. The tea leaves quite a lot to be desired. Today's jasmine green tasted past its prime, a bit on the rotten side.

This is a local hang out. I used yo live in Santa Cruz years ago when it just opened and visited all the time. Now on Friday nights, it's almost impossible to find a seat. It took about 45 min to place an order and another 20 min to get food. The food was yummy, clean and organic but we... More

For the price, food quality, and overall healthy choices this is a home run. The portions are generous and the vegetables very fresh. It's hard to beat the combination of great healthy food at a fair price! I really love this little restaurant.

Charlie's is THE place to go for a real taste of Santa Cruz! It's friendly Delicious Healthy and Affordable! Great for kids -even small ones. The dining is super casual - picnic tables in an enclosed area- and very very friendly. This is a great place to go by yourself or with a group. You're sure to strike up a... More

This is the best place to go for this fusion-ish asian noodle bowl food. The prices are very reasonable and the food is tastee and fairly wholesome. They can get jammed, but usually things move quick. Something for gluten free people and vegetarians. I wouldn't get the rice bowls to go though - The packaging is too small. It's better... More

Bonnnie.. I was sorry to hear about your lousy experience at Charlie Hong Kong. I don't particularly like hearing a negative public review of our restaurant but then it is through comments like yours, that much information can be gleaned. Sincerely! I know that it has been a few months since your visit but was still curious as to what... More
