Great Greek food but appalling service. Mains came when we were only halfway thru the starter and then the waitress tried to deliver the mains before clearing the dirty starter plates away. Some training needed.

My wife and i were looking around Santa Monica for a restaurant different from the many same old bland places , when we came across The Stop'n Cafe , it turned out to be a good choice, the welcome, service and quality of the food first class and with bring your own wine made it very affordable , we will... This little gem has amazing cuisine. It is a BYOB so pick up a bottle of wine or two sit outside and people watch. You will have a fantastic meal and have the ability to enjoy tourists from many different countries walk by. Good prices and close to everything with the friendliest staff in LA.

Enjoyed a pleasant meal at a small Greek restaurant on the 3rd street promenade. We had the mezze for a starter, which was divine and enough to be shared by the four of us. The meal was authentic and the service was good. Only surprise was that they don't serve alcohol which was a disappointment as I was dying for... More

We were greeted by a friendly face, asked if we wanted a seat inside or out & drinks orders quickly taken. We both ordered omelettes which came with hash browns or fruit and toast of our choice - and which were delicious!! Great food & great service what more do you need?

Enjoyed my meal here. Was looking for a late night gluten free meal and popped in here. We had souvlaki kebabs, salad and rice. Pleasant service.

The pita was very good, but the gyro meat was not warm. For $3 I upgraded from salad to the baba ganoush; it was not as thick as I like. I will not return.

I went here with my family in celebration of my cousins birthday. We ordered the meza and saganaki for an appetizers. They were pretty good except for the babaganoush which tasted a little weird to me but my family seemed to like it. We ordered the chicken kabob, lamb kabob, and the moussaka. The lamb was very flavorful as so... More

This small greek restaurant was a great find when looking for a restaurant in the 3rd street area of Santa Monica and had no wait. Their food was fresh, delicious and better than I thought it would be. The service was excellent. I like this type of small non chain restaurant. The chicken kebob was excellent, white meat chicken and... More

Been here a few times. It never fails to deliver. This place has the best gyro I've ever had. The burgers are big and juicy. It is a great place to eat after shopping at the promenade.

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
