If you want a SUBLIME, authentic Italian sandwich, go here. I can’t reccomend this place enough as a stop by lunch. I ordered the caprese baguette and it was honestly amazing. So much other stuff to buy also. Staff were very friendly.
I was recommended this place by a friend and so my wife and I decided to try some sandwiches here on our last day in the area.
The hours are not like most places. They close generally by 6pm. Parking here is limited and so...More
Why go to nasty corporate Subway when you have some freshly made delicious sandwiches available here with other side options. I ordered the popular Godmother with all the fixings and it was really good and my mouth burned with the added hot peppers.
From 2005-06 I lived in Venice and Bay Cities was responsible for a large chunk of weight I put on during that time. I simply couldn‘t get enough of their pot roast and meat loaf, and the white bread could hold its own even compared...More
The bread is amazing.
The meats are super fresh.
The cheeses are great.
Absolutely order at least an hour in advance, and be ready for little to no available parking [ yeah, they ARE that good ].
Lots to choose from on the menu.
This is an old-fashioned deli / Italian supermarket. The sandwiches are crazy good -- I dream about the spicy Godmother sub with the fresh crusty bread, combined with meats, peppers and spices—but all of the sandwiches are out of this world. And the market itself...More
In our family, we take pride in our sandwiches - proper meat to bread ratios and the right complimentary veggies or sauces next to its' best sandwich counterpart. Bay Cities Deli thinks like us.
My son loves a good sandwich, so I made a point...More
This is the best sandwich I've had since moving from the sandwich-loving East Coast to California.
The small chicken salad sandwich was fresh, filling and full of hearty veggies and condiments. It reminded me of the "hoagies" we order for game days and family get-togethers...More
Big fat Godmother sandwich and caprese sandwich. This family owned deli has been operating since 1925. The sandwich was really fresh and the bread was good. The bread is what makes the sandwich really good. To be honest it was a solid sandwich, but nothing...More
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller
coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
