on April 21 we celebrated my Birthday at CAPCO. I live in Toronto and was visiting my son and his family. My son recommended CAPO and WHAT A RECOMMENDATION! We brought our own wine ($50/bottle corkage) but their wine list is very extensive. You can only bring 2 bottles and it cannot be on their list. The wine we brought... More

jim belushi eats here a lot so you might see him if you eat here. But it is rather pricey so maybe not worth it unless you are a gigantic fan. food is outstanding. Service top notch. We love this place.

On our last night, we dined at Capo and can highly recommend them for authentic Italian Cuisine. The wine list is spectacular! Capo has an intimate, quaint atmosphere yet also very lively and perfect for couples. Perfect late night dining experience.

While the food was really good, there is simply no way anyone should get away with charging $22 for Mushroom Soup as a starter. That is just one of the highlights of the most overvalued menu we have ever seen. The chef is great, but he must have an ego the size of Manhattan (NYC not CA) as his prices... More

Some things you just need to do. The atmosphere is really interesting with eclectic pieces of art from the owner's private collection. The service is phenomenal; a perfect balance between warm friendliness and expert professionalism. My selections were excellent, from the bread, to the bona fide burrata, to the main. The lasagna was amazing, with perfect homemade pasta. My wife... More

This restaurant is only in business because there are 5 hotels in walking distance. Rude manager, slow device and expensive.

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
