Our family/friend reunion was dinner at Walts Wharf. Reservation was made months in advance. We had an absolutely wonderful dinner for 8 upstairs. Everyone enjoyed their dinners. Great wait staff; from the hostess to the waiter, everyone was very attentive and our waiter chose wine that complimented our dinners. The ambiance was casual and relaxing. The clam chowder was excellent!... More

This is a typical "main street" restaurant! A three (3) on a five-point scale. There was nothing that made me say wow! It was above bad and below good! I had a Bloody Mary (not the best I ever had), I had a bowl of Clam Chowder (bland and very thick) and a Crab Benedict (crab, egg and hollandaise sauce... More

Walt's Wharf is an iconic Seal Beach restaurant that has been around for what seems like forever. It started out with paper plates and picnic benches and evolved into a casual beachy fine dining experience. There is almost always a wait - as far as I know, Walt's doesn't take reservations. But it's worth the wait. If you can, grab... More

My Husband and I had lunch here yesterday on a Monday. I learned that on Monday only they have a 3 course lunch special that is a great bargain. I had a grilled artichoke for starters which is the best I have ever had. The Ono grilled Fish Sandwich on the brioche bun was delicious and the dessert was a... More

Surprisingly, we had never been here, even though we live less than 5 miles away. We were looking for a new adventure so consulted trip advisor and saw Walt's rated #1 in Seal Beach. We were not disappointed! The Ahi Poke was delish- we almost missed the flavorful slaw underneath! The only "complaint" about the grilled artichokes was that there... More

I recently went on a cruise with a large group of people. The night before our trip, several of us were staying at the same hotel in Seal Beach. A small group of us decided to go to Walt's Wharf for dinner. We requested a table for 6, which grew to 10, then finally to 14. The staff at Walt's... More

My husband and I had a delightful dinner here last week. There is usually a wait for a table on weekends, but it is worth it. We waited on benches outside while street musicians entertained us. That was an unexpected treat. Once inside, we ordered a Roussanne wine from California. I could taste lemon and grapefruit on the palate, with... More

Came here recently on a Friday evening with a group of 8. Let them know an hour in advance and they were able to accommodate us. Walt's has a very good selection of beer, wine, and seafood. I had the Mixed Seafood Grill which consisted of a 4 oz. lobster tail, scallops, clams, shrimp, and fish. Rice and green beans... More

The good: Delicious Fish and Chips. Large chunks of cod with a beer batter. Also the Grilled Artichoke Appetizer with Aioli. The Sourdough bread with butter hit the spot. Sis was looking for a fish sandwich, and they had it...she loved it....except..... The bad: the bread was just a regular bun. Prices were steep on everything, it seemed....so we shared.... More

Delicious! We had a late dinner. Staff was right on it. I had a ginger soup that was out-of-this world tasty. My husband had prawns; nothing was left on his plate!
