I visit this place every time I head to Santa Cruz. Up a flight of stairs a block or two from the Beach Boardwalk, Sawasdee never disappoints. I love Thai food and am pretty critical when It comes to quality and authenticity. They have many dishes that are hard to find at your average Thai restaurant. Pineapple Fried Rice, Green... More

My husband and I came here with family we were visiting. This was amazing Thai food! I had the green papaya salad, which was super fresh and had great flavor. I also had the green curry, which was also delicious. My Husband enjoyed the calamari as an appetizer. The staff were very friendly. The town of Soquel is adorable...a true... More

This is highly recommended for those who want to try Thai food in the area! Had delicious chicken, duck, beef and lamb options, delicious Tom Kim soup, and excellent deep fried coconut ice cream! Lovely dinner!

Had lunch at Sawasdee Thai restaurant. We were greeted warming on arriving, had great service and the food was good and ample. I recommend this restaurant. It's not fancy, just good food and friendly staff. 3 for lunch was $36.00 which included 3 Thai Ice Teas. Not cheap but not expensive either.

Wonderful food and friendly service make Sawasdee a local favorite for Thai food. Their Salmon is especially good.

This is a small restaurant just across highway 1 from Capitola near Santa Cruz. It was well filled with diners. The food was really good. I had the pineapple fried rice with chicken. The wait staff were very attentive and kind. If you can get a parking space give this place a try.

My wife and I went to Santa Cruz to see the Cabrillo art gallery on our Monday "date day" and were looking for someplace to have lunch. We saw this restaurant while driving down Soquel Ave. and decided to give it a try. The ambience was nice with some very large hand painted fans on the wall and a ceramic... More

After being seated we were quickly asked what we wanted to drink and promptly brought out water... but then ten minutes passed with us having our menus laid closed in front of us before we were able to even placed our orders, and even this was only because we had flagged someone down. After that, everything went quite well. We... More
