They serve good dim sum. The wait for a table is not bad for small groups. Large groups will take a while. The food is good, but the service sucks. Can't flag down waiters and getting a glass of ice water is almost impossible.

It has been 2 years since we visited Grand Palace and the first thing that greeted us was a stench that resembled rat urine smell. Also, the water for Chinese tea tastes of strong chlorine. We hope the establishment will take our comment seriously before someone falls ill. Food wise the standard has been above the rest around the Bay... More

Great ambiance and the fact that so many locals were there speaks volumes of their appeal. Food was good except the egg rolls wich were actually spring rolls. They were dripping grease and barely hot. At $8.00 for 4 thin greasy spring rolls it was a waste as only one was tried and the rest wasted. House Special Fried rice... More

I hate to give negative comments but this was truly the worst experience I have ever had in a dim sum restaurant with regard to service and price manipulation that I have ever seen, and our party of seven all agree. With regard to the food, honestly it is standard, not over-the-top and definitely not worth what they charge. The... More

We been here about every other months or so. Especially, when guest in town. Something you must order, extra crispy pan-fried noodles with lobster, Fried pumpkin with salted-egg yolk with Shrimp, Soup of the Day, fried tofu marinade soy sauce, and watermelon soup if you have a party of 8 to 10. It's all about communication and ask for help... More

We had six hours transit in SFO and a chance to have a lunch there. It takes just 10-12 minutes to be there from SFO by taxi. They serve Dim Sum and other chinese dishes by the cart and you can check and order those dishes at your table. Since there is no price tag for those dishes on the... More

Our family in San Francisco celebrated a new baby with the traditional red egg and ginger party. We enjoyed a traditional dinner buffet what we call "dim sum". Chinese finger food. Noodles, Chinese dumplings. It was great! We enjoyed the food and celebration of new life together as family.

I was visiting San Francisco last weekend and my friend and her husband took me to Grand Palace for a wonderful dimsum brunch. My friend and I were living and working in Hong Kong many years ago when we met and spent many Sunday dimsum lunches. The food here served from traditional carts and the local crowd reminded us of... If you go during the earlier part of a busy shift, it is very good and fresh. If you go towards the end (last hour), food is not fresh and can be very dried out (and borderline gross). If they take out of rotation anything that starts looking old (and tastes worse since dim sum should never be served old),... More
