Driving through Templeton on our way to Morro Bay and saw this on the roadside. Pulled over and had a really great local heart breakfast. The staff were welcoming and friendly, coffee refills were offered frequently and the spinach and cheese omelette and raise bread were great and the Ham Steak with eggs was awesome!

Food is great either breakfast or lunch. I never order the coffee anymore since it is so strong you will be wired for the next week!

This is not gourmet, but it is country fresh and your "every day joe" kind of place. It has an eclectic following, and you are bound to see a few cowboy hats on the customers. Simply consistently good and friendly.

Quite simply the best breakfast we have had in the USA. Huge portions, tasty and well cooked; delivered quickly (despite the place being packed) by friendly, helpful waitress. Also love the patriotic atmosphere :-)

Joe's almost always has people waiting for breakfast, but with the very efficient servers and kitchen, you won't wait long. Nothing's fancy here, and it feels like a local joint, but the coffee's pretty darned good, the orange juice is fresh squeezed, and the biscuits and sausage are real. I love the big omelette so. There's one for everyone's taste.... More

Go early, its very popular with the locals! We've loved Joe's Place for years! Be sure you're hungry. They are used to serving physically hard work folks with big appetites. Great country food. You probably won't need lunch.

The pancakes are perfect every time, golden and fluffy. The bacon was crisp and eggs cooked just as ordered. The homemade cinnamon roll was delicious, large enough to share. Service was quick and attentive.

Always a wait, but worth it for breakfast since Hoovers has closed. There are other options, but you know what you will get and always great service .

This was a nice place. Great food and good prices. I ordered the chil verde omelet and it was not spicy. It was of average size. The servers were a little bit slow because the place was packed. Definitely worth the money.
