I have been here several times for lunch in past few months. The portions at lunch are huge and the sides that come with the lunch; macaroni salad and misso soup are excellent! I've have the sashimi, teriyaki chicken, tempura, deep fried oyster special and curry pork cutlet. All were excellent. Prices are more than reasonable for the amount of... More

I went with three friends and we picked the place arbitrarily. You could drive by it and not notice; it's very unassuming. But the menu is huge, the specials were great, prices were cheap. All four of us liked our meal. There were a lot of Japanese-speaking tables nearby, which I think was a good sign that this food was... More

Late night on Saturday. Excellent service. Very prompt. Quality food. Dieting so only chicken teriyaki. Rice and vegetables cooked perfectly. Reasonable prices. Helps if you speak Japanese.

small place that is usually busy, so expect a short wait. just sign in on the clipboard at the back of the restaurant. the combo plates are big enough to share, very good quality. for a small group getting a couple of combo plates plus a few items would work fine. the place isn't big enough for a large group... Came here for the second time for dinner, first time was lunch and was already overwhelmed by their portions, I think their dinner portions were even bigger! As big as the portions got, the flavors were not lost at all, the food was still delicious! I strongly recommend their combo sets. Although I think their isakaya styled snack dishes to... More

We love to go to Azuma when we go south. Their sashimi plate is so good and so much fresh fish. The salads (shredded cabbage w/Japanese mayo & ketchup and macaroni salad) are so good and so much. My husband loves the teriyaki steak because of the sauce. The black cod is delicious. They also have "tapa" dishes. Service is... More

If you limit yourself to the combo plates, you are missing out on some great food! Consider the Buta Kakuni--a huge chunk of meltingly fatty pork belly, served with a bit of cooked spinach and hot mustard (cuts the fat, I like to believe). Or the ShioTan (grilled beef tongue.) Or the Teba Chicken Wings. Or ask for Butter Shiitake--might... More

The portions here are so big that you should share. Love the Chicken Katsu and the fried fish is very good. Again get there at the opening or expect to wait.

This hole in the wall is the best place to eat Japanese food at a reasonable price. Their sashimi is fresh and consistent. I have eaten here dozens of times. A couple things I like to order are: Miso cod (mouth watering good!), grilled musubi (takes longer than most of the food to cook, but well worth it), shishito. the... More
