We went here early evening and it was reasonably busy and the staff were attentive, helpful and pleasant. The food was good and the portions extra generous but there was something lacking. The place looked like it could do with a revamp and we felt processed rather than being able to savour the meal. It seemed to be too good... More

In a land of fickle people with fickle tastes, Chin Chin has held its prime Sunset Boulevard location for more than 20 years. What does that tell you? The food is consistently superb and service is outstanding. From its famous and delicious Chinese chicken salad to the dim sum to the delicious chow mein, you aren't going to go wrong... More

Chin chin had great friendly staff and I ate at 9pm so it was great to still be served this late. The food was great value although didn't have a lot of flavour.

I came here with some British friends more recently who were visiting - It's not the first time either. I have to say this place is overrated and if you love decent Chinese food this isn't the place. Could have been a lot better.

Outstanding in every way. Been coming here for over 30 years and have never been disappointed. The restaurant serves, it would seem, a modified version of Chinese cooking that is very tasty. There is a wide choice of dishes from which to select . I always select "dim sum and then some" as it allows me to sample three different... More

Came to chin chin and got in right away. Robb is an amazing server. So knowledgable and a real pleasant server. We ordered the chicken fried rice and the chicken and snow peas. They were great.

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
