Overall, a very good dining experience. Great service, and a fabulous selection of sushi, healthy options and not-so-healthy options-:). Fairly pricey, as they sort of know they have you, especially later in evening, for fine dining.

Best sushi ever! This restaurant is definitely worth the visit. And service is as good as the food. Do not miss this!

I had drinks and sushi at Onyx while staying at the hotel last month. I ate at the bar. My bartender was awesome, and made me 2 delicious lychee martinis. I love this place!

For what it does, I bet it is excellent. However, for someone avoiding rice, not eating sugar, and renouncing raw fish, there left nothing to eat. If the menu suits you, it is probably a blast. The decor is beautiful, too.

Delicious food and excellent service! The hostess even offered to take our photo outside with the large aquarium back drop. That's rare!

Being a sushi lover and someone who always enjoys sitting at the sushi bar and letting the chef do his omakase thing, Onyx is kind of off the mark for me. The food is fine- like a mid-level sushi bar. Too many saucy rolls, etc. for a sushi purist. Onyx can't quite figure out if it's a hotel restaurant, a... More

I knew going in that the price was going to be high because it was a four season. However, the food was just the same as a good local sushi place in town. So nothing extra ordinary but the price was over double. The restaurant looks old and a typical Hotel restaurant and needs refresh. Our server (a female I... More

Great atmosphere and food. We had a great time and server was fun and excellent. Pricing is on higher end, but to be expected at 4 Seasons Hotel, not a complaint just a fact. Know that going in.

The restaurant is nice and cool decorated. They could maybe dim the light a bit. The menu has everything a sushi lover crave + also some other lovely dishes if you prefer other things than raw fish.

It is New Years Eve. I leave Beverly Hills for Westlake Village, counter-intuitively leaving the “heart of the Entertainment industry” on the year’s most festive night. Why? Two words… Chef Masa. Within the last month I have visited the Four Season Hotel Westlake Village 3 of my last 4 weekends. Many reasons, I fell in love with the resort, the... More

Specializing in fresh seafood and sushi, ONYX at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village offers delectable Asian fare. Backlit wall panels of semi-precious stones, such as carnelian and onyx, create a dramatic dining atmosphere. Bamboo floors, Japanese antiques and chandeliers grace the main dining room, while silk lanterns hanging over the sushi bar give an exotic feel. Watch while the freshest Japanese delicacies are being prepared, or sip a drink at the bar, where colourful aquatic creatures live in a double-sided, 2,000-gallon (7,571-litre) saltwater aquarium. A variety of sushi, sashimi and specialty hand rolls complement delectable Asian-influenced seafood creations. The menu offers many options to sample a variety of dishes, intended to be shared at the table. Also pairing well with Japanese cuisine is an extensive wine list featuring choices from California and around the world.
