The food is always good here. We love eating at the Black Bear Diner. The waitresses are always friendly here. Always good service. We were hoping to see waitress Josie(Joey) Rizzuto- Merill. A friend I grew up with. Awesome friend. Awesome waitress. She is great.

As always, the food was great. And as always, the service sucked. Our waitress was right there to take our order, bring the meals, and then the bill. Never came by to see if we wanted refills on out beverages, or if everything was ok. The bus-girl did though. Maybe someday, you might train your wait-staff.

After a long drive, going to the Black Bear Diner is great respite. Good menu, beer & wine, and really great staff.

You can always tell a good restaurant by how many cars are in the parking lot, this one is always full! Food is good, staff are great and the pies are outstanding!

Stopped here for dinner on a trip through the area and ordered a tuna melt for dinner. As with other restaurants in this chain, the food was good and the service excellent. While I didn't have breakfast here, Black Bear Diners seem to specialize in that meal. Give them a try!

Trout, Diner Deal, very tasty; mashed potatoes likewise good. Chicken and pesto pasta had good flavors, only concern was a bit of much oil. Portions are very large, even for the supposedly smaller sized dinners. Easy place to find. Friendly and efficient service.

Stopped for lunch. The diner was moderately busy. My wife ordered the pot roast. I ordered a taco salad. Turned out the pot roast is for dinner and wasn't ready to be served. The problem is we received that information approximately 50 minutes later. Our server should have told us up front. Also, our server kept forgetting things, like the... More

This was my first time at a Black Bear Diner. The food was good. They had gluten free bread for my husband. I had the open face turkey, large portion, definitely didn't leave room for dessert. The raspberry tea was good, I would order it again.

The food was of decent quality, the staff wasn't quick to serve or often at the table, but was very pleasant and amiable. The atmosphere of the place was a bit 'crowded', not of people but how it was laid out and the space was used in general.
