This place is a fusion restaurant, owned by a very sweet couple. Don't come if you are looking for hard core japanese fare from LA. But if you're open to tasting something new, try the chicken stew (afritada) or ox tail (kare kare). We were glad to find this mom and pop place during our visit to Joshua Tree.

Had a fusion of Japanese and Filipino food for lunch on our way home from Joshua tree national park. We had "Halo-Halo" Sushi 🍣Pork Adobe... all so authentic. Didn't cost an arm and or a leg either. When I asked about the menu combinations, the gentleman who served us told us that his wife was raised in Japan until she... More

New in town. Should have done research or asked for recommendations prior to entering the establishment for dinner. No wonder we were the only diner. Terrible food!

Yokozuna was a wonderful suprise in my neighborhood, fusion Japanese and Phillipino food. There was a great variety of dinners. I loved their chicken lumpia. My sister had a great tempura dinner box. There were plenty of vegetarian options for the brother in law. The food arrived quickly in 15 minutes. The best part of dinner was meeting the owners.... More

I never had Filipino food. So we gave a try. But we were late and special Filipiono food was all sold out. So go early. But still pretty good.

After our first disaster and hearing that the food improved, we decided to try it again for ourselves. Well, it's still not real Japanese food. The restaurant does states it's Japanese/Philopino food. So, I ordered Shashimi/Tempura combo which comes with Miso Soup and Japanese salad. Well, the Miso soup was stuffed with Tofu which I don't like. The broth was... More

We were in town President's day weekend- Sat night and wanted to dine and get the kids to bed. The Cross Roads Cafe and other recommended places were swamped so we came here. My son, well traveled, said it was the worst sushi he had ever had. The rolls had so much rice it was hard to find the fish.... More

Fantastic Food. Great Service. Nice Atmosphere. Priced Right. Highly Recommended. Try it and judge for yourself, and not by what others say! Had a good time, enjoyed it, and will go there many times again. The Japanese-Filipino Asian Fusion is wonderful.

Highly overpriced. Miso soup tasted like dishwater - no flavor whatsoever. The Japanese Salad was nothing better than raw shredded cabbage - no dressing. And, for their prices I would prefer not to be served on plastic dishes. The Sashimi was good, but a joke for the price. The Tempura and my husband's chicken dish was very greasy. We thought...
