Tempranillo is about choices - lots of interesting choices - small or large plates; moderate prices or more expensive; Spanish, Italian or other food choices; Spanish, Italian or many other excellent wines by the glass or bottle; or very good beer - domestic or international. Regardless of choice, the quality is consistently impressive. This is an attractive upscale restaurant which,... More

My family went for dinner and had a mixed experience. Food, as with previous visits, gets 5 stars. It was service and grounds leaving a bad taste on a $350 check. Drink list presented but upon ordering cocktail was told we could only order "easy" drinks because there was not a bartender working. Asked to order tapas and appetizers before... More

I love coming to Tempranillo. The tapas are fantastic, and ladies night keeps the prices affordable.

Tapas in Basalt, who would have thunk it. This is a great spot and a comfortable restaurant. We sampled a variety of the tapas offerings and of course they were wonderful. We found the staff to be lively, engaging and excellent at taking care of our needs. Our dinner was very nice and we loved the setting. We will return.

I definitely recommend this place and its more laid back than the photos suggest. We had a lot of fun with a group of friends for my 30th!

Inviting restaurant with good food. Service is hit or miss. Wonderful outside deck for summer dining. Management is sometimes less than customer friendly.

I seem to be visiting everyplace twice lately. Tempranillo is no exception. We came once with a large party of about 15 for a birthday, and again with a small group of 4. Both experiences were wonderful. Tempranillo is in a cute old building on Basalt's main street. Ancient wood floors seem to slant from one end to another. There... More

The tapas were incredible . The main dishes too. Had the lobster ravioli , lamb shank and see food paella. All were very tasty and and authentic . Service was ok but could have been a little friendlier. Seems like the server was always in a hurry. The disappointing thing is that they did not have an expreso machine. Very... More

Variety and flavour of food is exceptional. With the small plate tapas format you can enjoy so many different selections at one sitting. Atmosphere is always buzzing. Friendly and welcoming staff.. Not to be missed!

We've eaten here so many times and for different reasons, and have never been disappointed. We've done family dinners, and friends get togethers here and will definitely come back. The waiters have always been friendly and most knowledgeable about helping us with our wine selection. Whether you eat inside or outside, it's a real treat to dine here!
