Good locals pub with great burgers and pretty good fish and chips. Definietly not fancy but fits the character of Basalt perfectly. No good dark beers which was a disapointment

My husband and I ate hear after a long bike ride from Snowmass. The housemade black bean burger and a beer were perfect. They also had a kale salad and vegetarian nachos that looked amazing. The portions were enormous and everything was fresh.
First a full disclosure. I really like downtown Basalt and it's historical buildings. This makes the Brick Pony a logical choice. The setting is classic . The food is above average and the service is generally very good. I recommend the burgers. Big and flavorful.
