As a Chicagoan, I am spoiled on the best authentic Mexican cuisine and very particular about authentic Mexican and wary of Americanized/TexMex/inauthentic Mexican. Illegal Pete's I think qualifies as "inauthentic" but it's fully redeemed in yummyness

Fresh ingredients with vegetarian options. We went in the middle of the afternoon so the line wasn't too long and we easily found a place to sit. Very good!
