Pretty disappointing for a stop on a 40th birthday with friends. Service was poor and rushed as they hurried to move tables and chairs to the side of the room, as if a sixth grade dance, to create" the night club." The dance floor was empty for at least an hour after they hurried patrons from their tables. The drinks... More

This is a fun place to go in the summer. The doors are open and you can sit outside and have some mojitos and tacos. The vegetarian tacos are really good and I'm not vegetarian.

Found this restaurant on way home from a ski trip. Had a fabulous dinner. The trio of salsa was different and very tasty. The Roasted Chicken Enchiladas were fabulous...not your usual sauce.

I don't usually frequent casual or Mexican restaurants but it was the only place open one night after the CU Boulder Football Game - what a surprise. It was excellent. We now visit every time we come to town. Must Try! The Tortilla Soup. Sit by the open wall of windows for great people watching on Pearl Street.

We had tacos while here , and most were delicious but one was mediocre. The margarita was great and the chips and salsa, were good. The salsa was much better than the plain chips. The mahi tacos were very tasteful and filling and the shrimp tacos were also wonderful. The BLAT which was a BLT taco was mediocre at best. Not much flavor... More

Coming to Boulder from our home in Alabama, it became very apparent that the Mexican food of Colorado is very different than we were familiar with (much stronger use of green rather than red chilies). That having been said, it also became evident that the Mexican atmosphere and foods of Tahona was of a markedly higher standard and sophistication than... More

We decided to go for lunch on a Sunday. Great food, service and music while seeing the Rockies. The food was really tasty with a great balance of flavors. After 10 years in Texas, this is a fantastic place!

A quiet Thursday night found us at Tahona for some Mexican. 1980s rock playing in the background was a nice touch. The smoked duck nacho plate could have been dinner. Lots of duck and very tender and tasty. Wife tried Carne Ahumada taco... daily smoked meat from their smoker. Tortilla soup was as good as it gets and we have... More

We stumbled on this place on a Pearl Street ramble on a picture perfect Friday, and so glad we did. Happy Hour started at 1130 a.m. With drinks and entree sized apps that were insanely good value. A house margarita came in a glass the size of a big beer stein; beers were poured with a similarly generous hand. Snacks... More
