My husband and I visited Briar Rose Chophouse and Saloon on our honeymoon! It was the best restaurant experience we had while in Breckenridge or maybe ever. I made reservations through their website. We arrived an hour early to have a few drinks...they quickly directed us to a table in the bar where we were treated like royalty. Then when... More

The Prime Rib and loaded Baked Potato was excellent with the best service we experienced anywhere in town! The only poor thing was the sparsely dressed Caesar Salad with a lonely Anchovy.

I had the buffalo short ribs, which were delicious and came in a very large portion. My wife had the scallop appetizer and a bibb salad, both of which were also very good. The wild mushroom side was excellent. My only very slight criticism is for the creamed spinach side--it wasn't as succulent as I had hoped, and I've had... More

I chose this place based on the reviews and was not disappointed. I consider myself quite the foodie & it passes my test with flying colors. Started w The Beet/Arugula & fried goat cheese salad. (Pic is of 1/2 , they split it for us). Then moved on to the skirt steak, mountain trout & Elk & Ribeye were all... More

The best steaks we've had in a long time!! Beautiful setting and our waiter was delightful! He was obviously excited about their chef's offerings and was very knowledgable. He made an already wonderful experience even more delightful!

We visited this restaurant in Breckinridge for a birthday celebration. it's in a Victorian style building, and the theme continues on the inside. This place specializes in meat, and what meat! Although the menu isn't huge, there is something for everyone. I Haden the Kobe beef, my husband had elk. Sides came separately to be shared by the table. It... More

It was a Girls' weekend & to kick it off we hand dinner here. I ordered the Elk chops and they were extremely tender, delicious and not gamely. The sides were perfect accompaniments to enhance the flavored. Several ordered the apple/onion soup w/ froie gras dumpling. They raved about it t & even asked for the recipe! Service was outstanding,... More

My wife and I swung through for dessert. There is a fine dining side and a saloon side with seating. We were dressed down so we salooned it. We just had dessert and coffee...and it was GREAT! The key lime was very good. Cheesecake was nice too.

Dinner was overpriced for the quality. My steak was served with a dead fly on the plate. The server provided a replacement steak but no consideration for the inconvience and overall unappetizing presentation. My three dinner companions were surprised at the lack of concern by the management.
