Had been craving Mexican Food, for weeks. Had to kill some time while waiting for a car repair. Read reviews of all the Mexican Restaurants in Canon City, and this one was highly rated. So glad we chose it. Big portions, quick service...and the Fried Ice Cream is to die for.

I have been here several times since they opened. They are located in front of a hotel and I think it used to be the hotel lobby entrance. Anyway the food is really good-I prefer El alazan over all 4 other mexican resturants. In my opion they are the best mexican in Canon City. The help staff are very pleasant.... More

El Alazan was an extremely good find when we visited Canon City. The waitress was super friendly and the service was quickeven though they were undergoing renovations. We really liked the fresh chips with salsa and a great cabbage Pico de Gallo. The food was awesome! I can recommend the Camarones Supreme and my husband liked the shrimp chimichonga he... More

We eat here at least monthly. My husband loves the bacon breakfast burrito smothered in Maria's yummy green chile. I adore a variety of the pollo meals. The best beans in the country. Maria's pico de gallo is outstanding, and the staff frequently refills our bowl. Speaking of staff, they are gracious, prompt, and willing to adjust meals to your... More

My wife and I ate here on our second night vacation stay for dinner. The food was very good as was the Kiwi Margarita my wife had! The staff was excellent though, very friendly and personable. We wound up talking to the young lady at the register for quite a while about our vacation trip. She had great recommendations about... More

We enjoy the food, but the restaurant seems dirty and hot. Love the boot shaped glasses, and the mariachi's on Fridays.

We haven't eaten here for a couple of years. Why, is not readily explainable, except that we have another "favorite" Mexican place in town. Now that El Alazan is within walking distance to where we now live, we probably will be coming more often. We can always have an extra Margarita or Cerveza now with dinner. The menu is typical,... Food came out and inside chili rellenos was cold, cheese not melted. Received a hot one second go around. Staff were friendly.
