We ate here early Saturday evening, it is a very quaint comfortable pub. There is a cosy atmosphere with the fires lit and plenty of seating. The staff were very friendly and made you feel welcome. We tried the mulled cider which was a nice touch on a cold day. We ate the steak and mushroom pie and mushroom tortellini.... More

We have used the cricketers many times before but today was terrible When booking we specifically requested not be seated at a particular table and we were shown to that table so we had to ask to be moved Unable to select a starter we went straight to main course Waited 50 minutes for food and the rump steak medium... I suggested we give The Cricketers another visit as the last time we visited The Cricketers - Blubeckers - Cricketers was some time ago when we had a problem and stop going. My friend pre booked the table for two when we entered it was very busy, full and told at least a 30min wait. We were shown to our... More

I went there with a couple of my friends and we were seated straight away. I loved the atmosphere inside and definetly loved their fireplace which was on and it gave the place that extra charm. Tried the mussels which weren't as bug as I thought but ok.

My husband and I visited here on Tuesday 1st November for a meal. The staff were so friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere in the restaurant was really relaxed. We had the pate and the scallops to start and both were excellent. The scallops were amazing! I had the trio of duck for mains and my husband had the spicy... More

Sunday lunch was excellent. The roast beef was almost too large a portion. Home made soup delicious. No room for dessert! The restaurant was full which made service pleasantly slow. I much prefer a restaurant where there is a bit of breathing space between courses. So many are far too rushed! Good choice of beers really added to the meal.

It's a lovely old village pub that is welcoming. My girlfriend and I have had some very nice lunches in there and would recommend it if passing through

Popped in for a quick drink and something to eat and wish we hadn't. When the chips arrived (very quickly I hasten to add), we found out why they were so quick. They had obviously been cooked a long time ago and were simply being kept hot. As a consequence they were about the most unappealing and stodgy chips I've... More

visited The Cricketers numerous times, always a happy and friendly atmosphere within the pub itself, perfect place for a cold beer on a hot summers day. Dog and Children friendly. 5*

Very good. Attentive but not intrusive staff. Comfortable tables. No excellent food. Not cheap but what is these days if you want quality

The Cricketers overlooks the green in the heart of Sarratt village - a great place to sit on a sunny day watching the world roll by, enjoying a pint or two with friends.
Inside is a jumble of cosy and comfortable rooms where you'll find some decent ales, a carefully chosen wine list, and a simple but tasty menu with fresh ingredients sourced locally wherever possible.
