A fun experience, this restaurant is located in one of the most historic buildings in town. The family style dining is fun, the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is great. Being a vegetarian, I don't eat the fried chicken but hear it's very good. Their first course is wonderful as are their sides and the biscuits are to die... More

Excellent chicken , even more excellent homemade biscuits with honey butter . We get to do it again next year and it will be the highlight of our... More

So when were served out meal I joked that "family style" meant we needed to start fighting and throw food. But in all seriousness this was the best "family style" meal I've ever eaten...but what really made the experience memorable was the ultra-friendly service. I was just blown away at how friendly the staff was. That sealed the deal for... More

Skillet-fried chicken specialist offering comfort-food sides on fixed menus in 1880s Victorian digs. Great fried chicken, set menu, fun and funky setting, and super friendly staff. Personally the food was good but in my opinion it was way over priced.

The home style food and atmosphere are great. There are 6 people total in our family and everyone loves something different about slogars, from the fried chicken, the creamed corn, homemade biscuits to the relish trays, it's all great!

First, make reservations! I have to say, dinner here with extended family was really nice. Service was efficient and the food was very good. Family style, fixed menu. The prize is the fried chicken, which is tender and perfectly done to a crispy skin. Delish! The bisquits and honey butter are tasty, as are the mashed potatoes. We ordered a... More

This place serves the epitome of fried chicken. I cannot even describe how amazing the food is. The whole atmosphere of Slogar's takes you back in time, which adds to the authenticity of the restaurant. I recommend calling at least 2 days in advance to make a reservation, it can be difficult to get a spot here.

We had heard about Slogar from neighbors and friends (in Texas) before we even left town for Crested Butte. If you like home cooking, fried chicken and fluffy mashed potatoes, this is your place. For our visit, we called for a reservation for 10 people and they were able to get us into a private room. It was perfect with... More

Family style meal. You start with pears, carrots, celery, cottage cheese and Cole slaw. Then you order your fried chicken and get large plate of chicken, plus biscuits, mashed potatoes (the best gravy) and cream corn. Let's not forget ice cream for everyone for dessert!
