Good service from the front of the house, to the sommelier, to the server.  Eclectic menu, in the good sense.  Husband had the arepas, delicious, enough for 2.  He had the  short ribs and pronounced them delicious and this from someone whose signature  dish is short ribs.  My rack of lamb was amazing.   Too full for dessert😐  We'll definitely be... The food is always terrific here and the drinks are fantastic. Keep it local with Root Down! Brunch is terrific and warm weather visiting is a must. The open garage doors, patio and re-purposed interior are awesome!

Creative and delicious food and drinks. Hip atmosphere that is great for a date or a night out with friends, but without being pretentious. There's a reason this place opened a satellite location at DIA. It's one of our go-tos. Just go. You won't be disappointed.

This is one of my favorite places to eat. Just thinking of it makes me smile. Keep in mind, it can get crowded and you'd be well advised to see if you can make a reservation. We made a reservation to sit outside, the weather turned cool and there were no other seats inside. To address the chill, the Root... More

Best of includes the Kaffir lime gimlet, arepas and beet salad from happy hour. Service is excellent. Can get crowded at HH so get there early.

I met a client there for lunch because our scheduled location was too crowded. Great choice - the food was excellent and pretty creative. It's on the opposite end of Denver from where I live or I would eat there monthly. It's really great.

This is a must for me when I visit Denver. Sunday brunch is the best. Variety of eggs Benedict are great. Changed one from quinoa cakes to corn cakes. Prefer the quinoa. The corn cakes were hard and chewy. Pastry of the day was a yummy berry scone.

Description
Root Down aims to connect the neighborhood to a dining experience in the same way ingredients are connected to food. There should be a seamless bond between the elements and experience, which stimulates the senses and draws people in. Root Down serves “globally influenced seasonal cuisine,” which basically means we go where inspiration leads us. We’re not tied to one style or genre—we’re hoping to create one of our own. At Root Down we pride ourselves on striving to solve the ‘Omnivore’s Dilemma.’ We have created a dining spot where all dietary needs will be accommodated, including vegetarian, vegan, raw and gluten free; also allergies or intolerances are always handled professionally by the kitchen team. Our menu has icons reflecting this philosophy, though we always request you notify your server of specific needs. We look forward to seeing you soon!
