Went here while visiting a friend who lives in Denver. We had reservations on Saturday night. It was busy, but our service was prompt. We had a very good waitress named Mary. The bread was not warm, but the next loaf they brought was. I...More

This is a great restaurant with very interesting history. We has lobster ravioli and mushroom ravioli, with spaghetti off kids menu. Prices are not bad for the quality of food - the mushroom ravioli comes in a very rich broth and was full of different...More

Live one block away from this restaurant. Good enough to eat in a pinch until this evening. Tonight...(Friday night) the restaurant was 'busy-ish' but the hostess didn't even acknowledge us until I said 'hello....how are you tonight?" And then she made some arbitrary wait-time because...More

Gaetano's is a really old establishment in North Denver. The place has been freshened up after a errant vehicle evidently drove into the front. Inside the restaurant is cozy and nicely decorated--- sans the "mobster" posters. Looks a bit like being in Manhattan. Great old...More

We did a big extended family dinner there with a group of east coast Italians. Everyone was incredibly happy with their meal and looking forward to going back again!

We attended a bus tour of North Denver, called Mob Tour. At the end we were scheduled to eat at Gaetano's. We had a choice of "home made pasta w/ red sauce & meatball or angel hair pasta w/ white sauce & chicken". First we...More

Having read the reviews, we were looking forward to eating at Gaetano's. The calamari starter was good although I personally prefer a bit more spice to the accompanying sauce. The kids enjoyed their mac & cheese although the panino with meatballs seemed to be more...More

Wow! Outside of Chicago or NYC, this is some of the best Italian food I've had! And, complete with old school dining ambiance... Service is OK, but a little slow. But, who's in a hurry when you have wine, great food, and good company? We...More

Such a cool atmosphere, and not a long wait. Our waiter Garrett was so nice and the food was incredible. The place had a really cool history and it's not too pricy for amazing Italian food.

They claim home made pasta and such. Being from NY, however, I was not overly impressed. We shared Burrata, Tasty Treats, and Clams Casino as appetizers. The burrata was fine - the prosciutto was tender in particular. The Tasty Treats are really spicy sausage wrapped...More

Housed in the historic North Denver Highlands Gaetano"s was originally opened in the 1930's by the Smaldone family. Today it is an homage to the classic cocktail era with leisurely lunches, rustic and fresh Italian food and a late night neighborhood gathering.
