They squeezed us in on a Friday w/o a reservation. Good food and UNusual decor. Relatively reasonable for lunch but pricey for dinner

An old time favorite and the first liquor license in the state yet lunch was not so hot, We started with the hanging steaks and they were good. Yet, when I ordered the executive lunch, the bison rueben was not part of the deal and I neglected to ask if I could pay extra because I would have. The Saratoga... More

The food was good. The rattlesnake appetizer was really good. The bar was fun and drink were great. The buffalo ribeye was very tender and had great flavor. Overall it was great.

Buckhorn was a great experience. It was much like stepping into an old country western saloon. Lots of animals hanging on the walls. Menus on old newspaper. A wagon like the ones that participated in the gold rush on the second floor. Very cool experience. Game meat is pretty great. I had the buffalo filet and it was great! Be... More

We had the game sirloin tip sample and rattlesnake for appetizers I had elk and quail combo for entree. Elk was nice but quail was outstanding.

Loved the raccoons, skunk and badger in the canoe. The history of the place really is cool. I liked the menus that had the history of it written out.

This was a massive disappointment we went for our anniversary with family. The food was mediocre and overpriced for the taste and portion. Please restore the taste to this piece of history.

We ended up here for dinner having been recommended by the tour guide at Stranahan's Distillery (a great tour, by the way, well worth checking out). The atmosphere and history of the place is truly amazing and well worth checking out in and of itself. The food and service was excellent. We arrived around 6:30 on a Thursday night and... More

The restaurant itself is beautiful and most definitely a tourist destination, so a reservation is recommended. Unfortunately our service and food was only average. The waitress seemed a little short tempered and the steak I ordered medium was served rare and had to be sent back.

Massive display of all sorts of hunting trophies on the walls. The menu is very meaty, including the gamey varieties. We tried the rocky oysters - must try in Colorado. You can get better restaurants, food presentations and quality elsewhere, go here for the history and the experience.
